Maxi Blues

So with the help of my Lilly fam, you all convinced me to buy this dress and I am so happy that I did! It fits perfectly and the colors are amazing. I also love the elephants and the touches of lilac in this dress. I can see myself wearing this dress all summer long. I actually plan on wearing it on summer vacation coming up. I hope that Lilly maxi more dresses in this style.

Fragrant Reading nook with Vellabox

I don't know about you, but all of this rain is making me want to stay inside, turn on a fragrant candle and read a book. It makes me feel so cozy when a candle is burning and I can hear the rain outside. I recently spruced up my little reading nook with some new books and added a delicious smelling candle from Vellabox. If you've never heard of Vellabox before its a monthly candle subscription company with a price as low as $10 a month. I'm currently burning the Cactus blossom candle and it smells so good.  It has a soft floral fragrance. The candles are 100% soy wax and hand-poured with essential oil infused fragrances; phthalate-free, lead-free, petroleum-free, as well as vegan. Vellabox also offers other wonderful items such as Natural Lip Ice sunscreen. It left my lips very moisturizing and the sunscreen is perfect since I live in Florida, sunscreen is very important. I also love the box and pretty cactus bag the candles come in. Such a pretty touch. I have a little giveaway planned with one of these candles from Vellabox stayed tuned to find out. I'll post details on my Instagram soon. (petalprep)

Fantasy Garden

Hi Friends! So recently I bought this printed peplum top from Lilly. I just love the exotic floral print; I've received so many compliments on this top. The colors are vibrant and the material is machine washable which is perfect. Most of my Lilly tops I have to take to the dry cleaners because they're made of silk. But this one is" I'm a busy lady and I don't have time to squeeze in a dry cleaning stop in my schedule" friendly. LOL! Well, I hope that you enjoy the photos. And thanks for stopping by and reading.

Semi Healthy Meal Prep Idea

Hi Friends! So as promised, here's a semi-healthy meal idea for the week. The reason I say semi-healthy, is although the dressing I use is organic; it still has a decent amount of sodium. You can adjust the portions according to how many you're serving. But all you'll need is
1. Organic Pasta
2. Annie's goddess dressing ( Its a blend of lemon and garlic)
3. asparagus
4.shrimp or chicken ( I love seafood so I went with shrimp)
Cook the pasta according to the instructions, cook the shrimp until pink and the asparagus until tender. I steamed my shrimp and asparagus in the same pot to cut down on time ( i don't have very much of it).  Mix all of the ingredients together and I recommend serving it chilled. The dressing tastes better in my opinion cold. You can also top this recipe with feta cheese for a complete greek style flavor. Let me know if you try this recipe.  I have eaten it for lunch and it's quite scrumptious.

Weekend Devotional

Hi Friends! I haven't written a devotional in quite a while. And I felt inspired to write one to encourage you (us). I'll keep it short but so often as humans we are always chasing after the next best thing and forget that the best thing of all is eternal life. So no matter what remember that our ultimate goal is to see Jesus and experience eternal life forever with Him.

John 6:47 King James Version (KJV)

47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Saturday morning Banana Pancakes

Hi Friends! I've been in the mood for some yummy pancakes lately. But I didn't want to leave my house for them; so I found this recipe for banana pancakes, but I revised it a bit. So here's the recipe.

                                                   Ingredients: 1 Egg
                                                   a half teaspoon baking powder
                                                   quarter teaspoon baking soda
                                                   one banana
quarter to a half cup of coconut milk (this is what I used because I'm
                                                   allergic to almond milk)
                                                   a half cup of flour
I cut the original recipe in half for myself to make three pancakes. But I'll link the original recipe here. But first puree the banana, I added a couple drops of vanilla extract. Add the egg to the banana puree and then add all of the dry goods. Heat skillet to a  three or four and you got yourself a delicious Saturday morning breakfast. I also added warm peanut butter and cinnamon on top of my banana pancakes. Happy Saturday Friends, I'll be being lazy all day.
