One Summer Dress Two ways

Hi Friends, I recently did a little shopping for some dresses that I could transition into fall. And while doing so I stumbled onto this tropical banana leaf dress for $5! Yes, $5!!!! I already loved the print but when I saw the price tag, I was so excited. I styled it in two ways so that I could get multiple uses out of it. Not only is it cute on its own, but you can throw on a cardigan, belt, and brown block heels and wear it to the office. Or you could style it with a denim jack and straw flats and a hat for a more casual look. The dress is sold out ( I'll link the black version that I bought here. However, it is full price)and so are the shoes, however, I’ll link a similar, almost identical pair here and here. As well as the cardigan.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Much love from Florida.

Nordstrom Sale Wishlist

Hi Friends! I wanted to pop in and share what I have on my Nordstrom wishlist. Unlike the Lilly Pulitzer sale; this will be my first year shopping for the sale, so I can't provide you with any tips. But I have been reading other bloggers posts all about this sale. I do know that Nordstrom is offering a different way of previewing the sale and its open for everyone to see what will be included in the sale. It shows the items price what it will be on sale for and what the price will be after the sale. You can also add items to your wishlist so that you can check out.
But wanted to share what is on my wishlist. Sweaters, cardigans, and Bralettes! I can't wait to shop and then hopefully I'll be able to share my shopping experience with you all.
Will any of you be shopping? If so what's on your wishlist?

1. The Popular cozy Barefoot Dreams Cardigan (comes in multiple colors) 2. Chunky Sweater (comes in multiple colors) 3. Free people Bralette (comes in multiple colors) 4. Cozy Barefoot Dreams Leopard Cardigan

Pineapple Tote

Hello Friends, I recently got a new tote from Barrington Gifts and I'm loving it! I designed it to match most of my Lilly outfits. I also love my monogram at the top of the pineapple. You can design your tote to your specifications which is such fun! This one I plan on wearing all summer with my outfits. You also have the option to have a zipper at the top but I chose to have my tote without the zipper. I put a lot of items in my bag and this tote is very sturdy and holds a lot as you will see.
Barrington Gifts is currently having a sale of 15% off your purchase or 20% off $200 or more use code JOLLYJULY when you checkout. So if you love my tote or are in the market for a new bag. This is a great sale and I highly recommend this style, It’s so versatile.

Thanks for stopping by.

Setting my sights higher

Good morning Friends! Lately I have been so overwhelmed, frustrated, saddened, scared, and helpless to everything that’s been happening in the world. By nature I fight for my beliefs and for things that are right- that’s just who I am as a person and will always be. I’m definitely NOT a wall flower. But lately, it’s been so much to where I feel helpless and discouraged. So many opinions/feelings over Facts.
But I constantly have to remind myself of a wonderful Bible verse, Colossians 3:2 KJV
[2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

If I set my sights higher,  on the ONE who matters most and knows what’s best and knows what’s happening and knows the end from the beginning. I can rest assure that Jesus has everything under control. When it seems like things are out of control- God is in complete control.
Knowing this brings my heart true peace and setting my sights higher makes me see the bigger picture. That this world in all of its chaos is ultimately not my eternal home. My eternal home will not have violence, hate, sicknesses, death, or division or any other terrible thing. My eternal home will be truly peaceful and everyone will get along. So when I feel that discouragement start creeping up again; I’ll just remind myself to set the sights higher🙏🏾

Have a blessed day Friends!

Lilac toile Maxi

Hello Friends! Thank you so much for following along on my staycation vacation. I'm loving every second of it. This lilac/purple toile Lilly Pulitzer maxi dress that I styled as a skirt is actually an older print. However, I love restyling my Lilly pieces to get multi-use from them and to create new looks. My mom and I went for a trip (which we do quite often) to St. Augustine and strolled through the historic streets, had some, lunch and over favorite drinks, and spent a lot of time on the water. This dress was perfect and very lightweight for the extremely hot weather we experience here in Florida.

Thank you all for stopping by my little corner of the internet.  Stay cool and stay tuned for more blogposts!

Dinner outfit at Eau Palm Beach Resort

Hello Friends, Vacation in Palm Beach at Eau Palm Beach Resort was so fabulous and the dining was as well. It was so nice to be able to bring my nice Lilly dresses and wear them out to dinner. We all really need a break from the monotony that's happening in the world and spend time with those you love. Mom and I got dressed up and headed to dinner at the Temple Orange at the Resort. I bought this dress during the Lilly Pulitzer dress for summer sale and it arrived just in time for our Vacation. And let me tell you, this dress is "Eau" so beautiful! See what I did there?😉 You all know how much I love Maxi dresses, this one was such an elegant and perfect piece for the resort we chose to dine in.

Thanks so much for stopping by and stay tuned for more outfit styling blogposts!

Lilly Maxi in Palm Beach

Hello Friends! Vacationing in Palm Beach was so wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Roaming the beautiful streets of Worth Ave all dressed in Lilly; the place in which Lilly Pulitzer te brand was birthed. I felt right at home in my vibrant prints and chic silhouettes. I actually ordered this dress during the Lilly Dress for Summer Sale and it arrived just in time for vacation. I loved it so much I even wore it again a couple days later🙈

This dress is such a statement yet so comfortable and chic and makes you look so put together. This dress will be on repeat all summer long with no regrets.
Stay tuned for more Lilly styled posts and thank you so much for stopping by.

Guest room reveal Part 1

Today is the Day! I’m finally sharing my Guest room makeover reveal Part 1.
Here are some before pictures that I’ve never shared before. This is what this room looked like when I toured it to buy it. The blue carpet in the hallway I ripped out the first few months of living here. I COULD NOT TAKE THAT UGLY STUFF!!!!!!

So this room has actually gone through two different design phases. I actually painted it a similar green to what it was when I purchased it. But then changed my mind because it didn't really feel right to me. So then I repainted a lighter version of what's seen here and it was waaaay to light for me. So the third time is a charm and I love this color. It's perfect! It all started with these tribal style wall baskets that really set the tone for the room. Once I hung them up, the room had the vibe I had envisioned, moody coastal yet boho. Which is the vibe all over my house. The colors in this room are black, soft whites, grays, deep blues, and natural elements like rattan and medium-toned wood.
A few of my favorite pieces in this room are the different items I hung on the walls to feature. Not every piece you hang has to be a picture- it could be an Indonesian boat paddle with unique carvings. I love this piece and knew that I had to have it. It is beyond gorgeous😍

I'm also a big fan of white bedding and a lot of pillows.
similar here and here
The moody coastal photo also sets the tone for the room also.

You all might remember me talking about the DIY light fixture for $8, well here it is in the room. It adds a small nautical touch without going overboard and it adds a good amount of light for reading.
The side table has lots of storage to hide all of the things I don't want to display, like WIFI password for the guest, which is a good idea. I also love this faux cactus, it softens up the room and makes it feel more natural and fresh. I added this marble base lamp and you all know how much I love marble.  The lamp adds a more modern element to the room.
I still have a few more things to add and a whole entire wall on the other side of the room to fill, that's why this is part 1 of the reveal. So stay tuned for part 2. Let me know what you think so far. I'd love to know.

 Hugs from Florida🌞

Our Stay at Eau Palm Beach Resort

Hi There! I received a lot of messages about where my mom and I stayed while we were in Palm Beach. The Resort is Eau Palm Beach and this is actually my second time staying at this Resort. I absolutely love this Resort, the Staff is Friendly and Professional and they're very conscientious about everything happening by having hand sanitizer at your access. The service is IMPECCABLE!!!!! I highly recommend if you're planning a trip to South Florida.
When Mom and I arrived we greeted with the Friendly staff and tour of the Resort (this was my mom's first visit) plus there were some new additions since my last stay.
Our room had a beautiful view of the pools and the Ocean. The resort is literally right on the Atlantic and we were able to open the doors and sit out on the balcony and watch the waves.
The Resort also has quite a few restaurants to eat in. Mom and I had a delicious Caribbean style lunch of lobster and shrimp at Breeze Ocean Kitchen. Later that night we had Italian at Temple Orange also located in the Resort.

After Lunch, I had a spa treatment appointment that was AHHHMAZING😍 I can not say enough good things about how beautiful the spa is and my massage was definitely what I needed. I like how you can set the tone for your massage and customize it to your preference. I picked soft purple lighting with jazz music for my spa treatment. I didn't want to leave.
The rest of our day was spent relaxing on the beach and enjoy the sun.

The next morning we were served a delicious breakfast before heading to Worth Ave. I love the Resorts breakfast and highly recommend ordering a delicious breakfast in bed.
Our stay at Eau Palm Beach ( Eau means 'water' in French) was so wonderful. I'll leave the website link here as well as Discover The Palm Beaches link here if you're wanting to explore Palm Beach.

Thanks so much to Discover The Palm Beaches for sponsoring this post.*
All opinions are my own and honest😊

Thanks Friends! Stay tuned for more.

Stripes on the beach with Duffield Lane

Hi Friends! Thank you so much for following along on our Palm Beach trip. We are having an amazing time at Eau Palm Beach resort. The resort has such a beautiful color palette of blues, yellow and white. In fact, the cabana stripes on the lounge chairs and umbrellas matched so perfectly with the new dress from Duffield Lane that I wore down to the beach during the breezy evening time. This dress (it also comes in another print) would make a good cover-up as well. It is very comfortable and casual. I think it is perfect for sitting on the beach and enjoying watching the waves like I did. I have another beautiful sundress from Duffield Lane that I absolutely love and highly recommend their beautiful nautical-inspired pieces with a classic touch.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog and stay tuned for more blog posts from our vacation in Palm Beach . And hugs from the sunshine state🌞
