Loving Lately part 2

Welcome back! Here’s a round up of some things that I have been loving lately and wanted to share with you all.

This beautiful purple cashmere crewneck sweater has been on repeat! And it has been a big seller on my blog as well! A few of you messaged me stating that you ordered it too! I’ve worn it so much and I’m not ashamed of outfit repeating😂 This color is sold out but there’s a darker purple still available and on my wishlist. These sweaters from JCrew have quickly become a favorite of mine. This is my second one and I foresee more in my future.

Let’s talk these wonderful oils- I love a good skincare routine and I have recently started to include these two oils (Argan oil and the Precious Face oil) in my personal skincare routine. They are hands down my favorite new skincare products. I add either of them in the morning under my sunscreen for a nice slight glow or at  night for extra moisture. I highly highly recommend either of these!

I’m in love with my new pajamas from Lilly! Not only is the print gorgeous but it supports a good cause- Breast cancer research.
I love being cozy and they’re so soft. These would make a great gift too, maybe for someone going through Breast Cancer or just a nice gift in general.
I love cooking and sometimes I crave certain foods. Fish was the craving this time and tacos so I went over to Pinterest and found this yummy and healthy recipe  and made some tasty fish tacos for dinner.

I love books 📚 I’m a complete book work, but with my on-the-go career; in just not able to squeeze in a day of  reading. I still get some reading in occasionally,  but it’s mostly audiobooks for me.
I’ve been enjoying this one called the Resistance
Here’s a little  summary of the title:
Chaya a Jewish girl finds herself in Poland during a time where it’s dangerous being a Jew. Certain relatives disappear and Chaya finds herself on a mission to help others.

I have so many more favorites but I’m going to save those for my next blogpost. Stay tuned!

Lilly And Leopard

Hi There and Thanks for stopping by my little blog! I love dressing up and looking nice and I love sharing and inspiring others to do the same. I also love styling outfits, it gets my creative juices flowing. Speaking of dressing up; I have been loving the new Lilly Resort collection and bought a few pieces to dress up and wear even if its to the grocery store. I recently bought this cute neutral pom pom sweater from Lilly and it is so cute and it comes in a spruce green color that is so beautiful as well. It just screams holiday!I love the slight puff sleeve detail and the detail on the wrist. I had to replace a sweater and adding this new one was a great replacement. I paired it with a dark purple maxi and leopard heels ( get $50 of your first pair of Sarah Flint shoes)for a sophisticated look for work. It fits true to size and can be dressed up or down.

I'll be sharing an IG Live to share.
more about these comfy and stylish shoes!

Home RENO Before & After Flooring Edition

Hi Friends! Today was wood flooring installation day and I couldn't be happier. I decided to post the before and after pictures of the floors so that you see them on my blog and just stare at how much of a change it makes in the space.

One of my favorite features about my home is the old wood flooring; for the most part the wood flooring is in good condition with the exception of some termite damage. But that's to be expected at 90 years old. The floors in the Master Suite when I bought the house was covered in carpet, that was just tucked underneath the trim. I personally can't do wall to wall carpet due to allergies and it's just not my favorite. So I literally pulled up the carpet in the room and found that the original wood floors lay underneath. However, I also found that whoever painted the room also dropped lots of paint on the floor and the residue from the carpet was stuck on what potentially could be beautiful wood floors. I also discovered plywood where there was possibly wood damage from something but I'm not sure what though. So I got an estimate to find the same kind of flooring and replace the plywood. But I found that it was outrageously expensive and the floors would not be quite the same due to the age of the original floors and blending in the new. So redoing the whole flooring was a better and less expensive option and in the long run a great investment.

I'm very happy with the wood option that I picked out and it blends so well with the rest of the house which is what I was going for. Thanks for stopping by and now its time to do some furniture ordering and decorating.

Sweater weather in Purple cashmere

Hi Friends! I just can not believe that it's already the middle of the week- where on earth is the time going?????!!!!!!! Before you know we will be saying, "Happy Monday" again! Anyways, as you know I have been wanting to share a little sweater weather outfit inspiration for your workweek.  Today I put together a pretty and classy outfit for work and it includes my new favorite purple cashmere crewneck sweater- that's not even cool enough to wear yet BTW. But nonetheless, I still love it and will wear inside with the air down.  There are only a couple sizes left and it's currently 30% off use code FALLTIME when you checkout. (I also love this darker Purple color) I paired it with a beautiful full, pleated skirt that I've had for a long time in a beautiful medium champagne gold color and my favorite flats ever from Sarah Flint in the Saddle color. This outfit says classy and looks great for work and if you walk to an office, these flats are very comfortable and have great support for your arch. I recommend ordering your true size.

Let me know if you're loving this sweater weather work outfit series. I love hearing from you all.

Sweater Weather with Sail to Sable

Happy Monday Friends! I thought it'd be great to do a few blogposts for workwear; whether you are working from home or you're back at an office. It's always fun to look nice for those weekly zoom calls or just dressing up. I usually wear maxi dresses- I feel like that's my signature style lol😆. But I know that some of you love sweaters and wearing a fun maxi dress isn't an option for you; especially if you live in the Northeast. So, I'll be share a few chic, yet classic sweaters that you can wear during these cooler months.

So, with that being said let's talking about this classic and soft 100% wool sweater from Sail to Sable. They have such classic pieces that you can pair with so many things like denim for a more casual look or with a nice skirt like how I styled mine. I love this whole entire look, It says fall/winter without being too heavy by adding the off white skirt and nude heels.

If it's colder where you are, you can throw on a coat and grab a latte to keep extra warm. BTW My coat is from J.Crew and I LOVE IT!!!!! and it's currently on sale and that sale ends tonight. Use Code WARMUP.

Back to my sweater, let's talk sizing. I sized up so it's a little oversized, you can do a little french tuck in the front like I did for a chic look. I highly recommend this sweater the quality is amazing and the colors are too. I have the navy and two other shades of blue in the stripe design.

Oh, and did I mention that it is soooo soft?! Well, it is! You'll definitely find yourself rubbing your arms because it's so soft.

Thank you so much for stopping by my little creative corner of the blog world.

And thank you Sail to Sable for the beautiful sweater to style and share on my blog💜

Hugs from Florida!

Weekends Relaxing in my new PJs

Happy Weekend Friends! If you have been following for a while you may know that Saturday is my favorite day of the week. It's where I relax, refresh, reflect, and spend lots of time with God.  I wanted to share with you how I make the most out of my weekend. I didn't want to call this my weekend routine because I really don't have a weekend routine. Although every Saturday may not look exactly the same.

First things first I wake up whatever time that I want or whenever my eyes wake up. And depending on if I have enough food in the house, I'll make a delicious breakfast. This morning I made my favorite frozen buttermilk biscuits from Callie's Hot little biscuit and threw together a small serving of raspberry and strawberry preserves along with scrambled eggs. A quick tip that I have learned about scrambled eggs cook them in butter and then add salt and pepper afterward; it keeps the eggs nice and fluffy and not hard and rubbery. Ok, I'm done with the culinary tips.

I love taking my time on the weekends to really dive into the scriptures, praying and devout time thanking the One who gives me everything that I need.

Some days I might head over to the Farmer's market, which is literally a nice walk down the road or a short drive. I'll pick up all of the things for recipes or meal prepping for the week ahead.

Pretty much the rest of the day is lounging in my pajamas- these are my new favorites from Lilly. I love love love this print and it supports a worthy cause. The colors are vibrant and I love the floral print is amazing and it also includes the breast cancer awareness ribbon as well. The robe is on my list because it's so soft, oh, and the blanket too! Speaking of blankets by noontime I'm ready to take a nap and wake up to eat a yummy lunch that I'll pick up from one of my favorite restaurants downtown or I'll prepare a delicious lunch.

I eventually put real clothes on when it's time to leave for Church. But for the most part, I'm in my jammies and circulate from the bed, my porch, kitchen, and back to my bed again.

How do you spend your weekends? I love hearing from you all. Thanks for stopping by.

Animal prints and Plaid

I love a good print mix; especially with animal prints and plaid. This beautiful black and gray zebra print funnel neck sweater from Duffield Lane is so pretty, it's also so cozy. I paired it with this plaid clutch from a new to me brand who specializes in block print design and it fits so much. I was able to put my phone a few neccessities and keys. It's super sturdy and the quality is amazing! It's a great print for the holidays.

I'm loving this sweater, I styled it more dressed up but you can totally wear this more casually. For example, athleisure, or wear it jogging on a chilly day at the beach! The posibilities are endless. I love animal prints and I don't have anything in zebra print, so was super fun to style.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hugs from Florida!💛

Fall Picnic on the beach

Happy Sunday Friends! We are a couple weeks into the fall season, even though for some of us here in the south, particularly Florida, are still experiencing summer weather. As we watch our Northern Friends celebrate fall with changing leaves crisp air, and sweater weather, Some of us are over here with the AC on full blast. 😅 However, rest assure I'm going to share with you a few activities that we can do during the fall months here in the south until it gets colder. So, with that being said let's dive into the first Florida or Coastal fall activity- A picnic on the beach.
The other day I packed up my cooler took a short drive over to the beach and had the most peaceful breakfast. I spread out my blanket and my new favorite exotic hardwood cutting board from Wren Home. This board was the perfect addition to my little picnic- one thing that I wanted to point out was you can customize your cutting board and add your monogram or name. There are also other styles to choose from as well. It is a great quality board and the wood is absolutely stunning. I do have a coupon code to save you 20% when you checkout and the code is EBONEE20.

Another fall activity is creating a little s'mores board using the cutting board and making a small fire at night, if its cooler at night where you live, or making a delicious charcuterie board over a nice book club chat. If there isn't a beach where you live, you can sit by the lake or park and have a  lunch picnic with your new cutting board. The ideas are endless! But my favorite is sitting by the beach and enjoying the sound of the waves while eating my greek yogurt.
Let me know what you purchase after using my coupon code, I'd love to know! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Curly Hair Care

Hi Friends! I wanted to share my hair care routine with you all; now I realize that this post may not be everyone's cup of tea. But, I do get questions about what products I use, and wanted to share my process and the exact products that I use. My deep conditioning and wash day is very involved and takes hours sometimes. But I'm thankful for the health and volume that I have been blessed with. Also, not sponsored, but I wanted to share the vitamins that I have been taking that I believe contributes to the growth and health that I have been experiencing lately.

This picture above is right before giving my hair a good wash; it was also in need of a deep conditioning but as you can see there's lots of volume.

I love Mary Ruth's collagen-boosting gummies and biotin gummies, I also take regular capsules but have been loving these lately and they taste good and makes me feel like when I was a little kid eating my gummy vitamins😆

I "TRY" to deep condition weekly, it doesn't always happen but I do try. Deep conditioning helps with retaining moisture the tighter the curl pattern (me) the harder retaining moisture can be, that's why it's so important.
Sometimes I just clarify my hair and scalp with Apple cider vinegar (ACV) and then follow up with a conditioner and rinse. But these are the products that I use and have been using for years, literally, and they work great for me.
I always- ALWAYS ALWAYS, have a leave-in conditioner for my hair and I use this one, and it's great! Very moisturizing. I occasionally use African Black soap as a clarifier and I also use it as a body wash too there are so many great benefits. Coconut oil, Shea butter for both hair and skin during the winter, when I do use a shampoo (currently on major sale)I use this one and the matching conditioner. I know this may sound weird but I only shampoo once a month because I use the ACV for in between shampoos and it works better than shampoo for me. Another favorite conditioner is this one, Depending on what my hair needs at that time I'll deep condition and follow up with regular conditioner. You might see a theme here but conditioner, conditioner, conditioner is the main process for my hair.
Let me know if you have any favorite hair care products or if you use any of these.
Thank you so much for stopping by and happy first day of October!🍁
