Mantle Decor Crafts

Hello There! Thanks so much for stopping by! So since we are officially into the spring season, I wanted to spruce up my fireplace mantle and give it a little fresh spring touchšŸŒæ.

I was inspired a fellow DIYer and Crafter to pull out my Cricut machine- which I had stored at my moms house- and get to crafting again.

I wanted to do a project that would blend well with my homes overall aesthetic- coastal, fresh, boho, and a little bit global. So I got to searching on my Cricut account and found the perfect cutouts of Monstera and a variety of tropical leaves. I also picked up some card stock from my local craft store and wooden beads for that ultimate boho vibe, along with some jute string and created this cute banner. Not only was it fun; but it matches my living room perfectly and all of the plants that I collect.šŸŒæ

Iā€™ll be doing some more fun Craft Projects soon stay tuned!

Let me know what you think and what other craft projects youā€™d like for me to do in the futurešŸŒæ

Hugs!

Southern Style Brunch

Happy Happy Monday Friends! I'm so excited to share with you a WONDERFUL giveaway! I have been looking forward to share this with you all. If you have been following for a while you may know how much I love Callies Hot little Biscuit. I buy them in the Frozen section at Publix; or I get other items they make delivered. Another Southern Female founded company that I'm loving is Southern Baked Pie and company! We are teaming up to giveaway a Limited Edition Effortless Holiday Bundle!
This is my favorite giveaway collaboration to date!

This spring I know that we all will gathered together with friends and family at home and this is THE perfect spread.
Included in the Bundle Giveaway is your choice of Southern baked Pie quiche: sausage onion or Spinach mushroom. ( I chose spinach and mushroom for a Brunch I hosted and my oh my! It was so tasty!)
CHLB Traditional Pimento cheese, 6 CHLB handmade cheese and Chive Biscuits,  CHLB handmade Cinnamon Biscuits. A full value of $79.95! Free!
Be sure to head over to my latest IG post to get all of the details to enter! I can't wait for you all to enter. Be sure to order everything by March 28th to get it before April 4th.

With that being said let's dive into this delicious and beautiful brunch I put together one Sunday for my family.
The two biscuit options I used for my little biscuit board were perfect for various taste palettes. A little savory with cheese and chive option; and then sweet with the cinnamon biscuits. I also, whipped up my super easy and homemade strawberry jam, just in case. The thing that I love about these biscuits is that the only thing I had to do was pop them into the oven. As much as I love making biscuits sometimes the easy route is best, if you're low on time. These are just as delicious- Trust mešŸ˜‰

Now, let's talk about the Quiche- The best quiche I've had in a very long time. It was delivered in a cute box and all I had to do was put it into the oven. My family loved it and that made me feel so good to know, that everything prepared was tasty and up to our high standards. Like I mentioned previously, I chose the spinach and mushroom quiche because I love that combo. The crust was perfect of the whole entire quiche was full of flavor. You will not be disappointed. The Southern Baked pie has some delicious pies that I have been eyeing too. They are based in Georgia and offer a variety of baked goods in different locations, as well as shipping to us who aren't lucky enough to live close by.

You're probably wondering what I did with the Pimento cheese- well, I made the best pimento cheese grits ever! It is literally my new favorite dish and I'll definitely be making it again. It is not only delicious but very filling. I love taking an already delicious food and creating something else super delicious with it. My mom literally said "mmmm, wow, this is good Ebonee!" I'll be sure to link this recipes that I used. The Pimento cheese spread from CHLB is also so good on the biscuits, So the remainder was there for that option as well.

Needless to say, It was a successful brunch and you can have the same. Please be sure to header to this link to order ahead of time to get everything before April 4th.
Feel free to let me know if you've entered the giveaway- I love hearing from you all. And I'm so excited!

Loving Lately Part 5

Hi Friends,
Here's another round up of "Loving Lately." If you're new around here "Loving Lately" is a collection of things that I have been loving lately. Whether its an outfit, books, a recipe, or place. I love to share just in case you'd like to check them out yourself or discover something new.

I have to say, I have been loving this navy and white horse embroidered dress. If you know me really well, then you know why. I've featured it on my blog a couple of weeks ago.

Also, recently I went to my towns new Equestrian center to watch horses jumping. Horses are such beautiful creatures and it's so nice reminiscing about when I used to ride horses. And being near such beautiful animals. We plan to take my nephew because he loves animals.

ā€œBefore we were yoursā€ a heart wrenching book based on the true story of Child Trafficker Georgia Tann and the conspiracy she led all under the disguise of caring for children. This is a must read! A worldwide crime that sadly, never got to justice. It makes you think just because a Judge passes law doesn't make to law right or just!

This book by Booker T. Washington "Up from Slavery" was such a great book and encouraging one. He did not let the current time and circumstances get in the way of him being successful. He also did not play victim just because he was a minority; he rose above it and today is a well known man of history.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Styling Neutrals and Basics

Hello! Welcome to my color styling series- The first of hopefully many. I wanted to do color styling segments in both Interiors and Outfits, to provide inspiration to you in whatever colors you love or lean towards in Fashion or Interiors. So with that being said, Lets take a look to see how I styled this mostly white outfit.

Spring time is the perfect time to pickup/replenish those basics that we wear over and over again and are classics and closet staples. This lightweight, white blouse is a fresh take on your basic button shirt; with the tiny little details that add so much detail. I styled mine with an off white maxi skirt (size up) and some raffia sandals that I love and have had since last year; however, here is a similar one. And also, one of my favorite hat styles-the fedora.

White button downs are such a staple and can be worn with so many different ways. I did a little French tuck and tied in the front too! It can be worn with denim, over a maxi and with other printed skirts- The styling options are endless. They are also perfect for those sweltering hots months that we experience here in the South.
This one is a great price and under $40

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that you've enjoyed this styling neutrals and basics post.

Purple Gingham Tote - Barrington

Hello Hello Hello! I'm in full on spring mode over her. And nothings screams spring more than gingham, am I right?! a few weeks ago I got my new Barrington purple gingham tote delivered straight to my door. And you all know my love for purple- IT IS THE BEST COLOR EVER! I love this style of tote and it fits so much (I carry ALL of the things.)BTW, there's a zipper option too. I ordered the one without a zipper. The fun thing about ordering from Barrington is that you get to customize your bags or accessories to your specifications.

Here are a few more prints that I love and customized to my liking. Everything obviously has purple, and my other favorite color and favorite color combo purple and green. I'm also loving this classic Hydrangea print travel bag, sunglass case, and pouch- It is stunning! Loving this green lattice laptop case with a lavender stripe and monogram. Here is an accompanying travel bag tag in the gingham to contrast and compliment your travel bag. The green lattice tote is a smaller option if you like a different option.

Which ones your favorite? I'd love to know and is it feeling like spring where you live?
If not, I hope that this post brings some sunshine and warmth to you virtually.
Thanks so much for stopping by my little blog.

Designing with green

Hi Friends!
I hope that you are having a great week so far. Iā€™ve been spending a lot of time freshening up my house and yard for spring. And adding small spring touches here and there- like greenery and new pillows.

One of the colors that youā€™ll see a lot of in interior design this year is green- of course, Iā€™m not a trendy person. I like what I like, no matter if itā€™s trendy or not. And so far itā€™s worked out perfectly for me. So, with that being said, green has always been one of my favorite colors to design my personal home with. Rooms in my house are green, my homes exterior is a beautiful coastal green, and my porch floors are a subtle shade of green. So needless to say, I love green!

Green to me is almost a neutral in interior design; especially if it has a gray undertone.
Here are a few color combinations green goes well with:
Green and purple (my personal favorite), green and red, I have this color combo in one of my bathrooms. Red is a complimentary color on the color wheel. I ground the brighter red with black and dark wood for a more balanced look.
Green and pink (a classic), green and black, green and blue. This color combo is on my porch snd itā€™s so fresh and a cool color combo. Green and metallics like copper or gold- also another personal favorite.

One way that you can add green to your home is by adding greenery it adds an element of freshness and pulls everything together. You can have beautiful pieces of furniture but to me without that touch of greenery it feels incomplete. Thatā€™s why I always have green plants in my house because it pulls all of my beautiful pieces of furniture together.

These are my favorite shades of green.

Sea Salt is used on my porch floor and one of the bathrooms and hallway.
Oyster bay is used on my homes exterior and plan to pair this color with an eggplant purple accent.

As you can see these two greens  go quite well with this marble table which has gray in it. These two greens both have gray undertones.

If you have any questions about this trending color feel free to leave a comment or if you need help pairing colors let me know also. I love to help in that process.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs,

EboneešŸ’œ
