Reading nook Chair Before and After

Hi friends! Long time no blog. I have been crazy busy with moving into my house, getting all settled in and filling it with furniture. And speaking of furniture my mom had a large, comfortable chair that she kept in the den and I always loved the square shape and asked could I have it. It has been in the family since I was a young teenager. So fast forward three years later after asking could I have it; I finally have it. After I moved into my house I had it customized to my personal taste. I love white furniture so I had it recovered in a super durable white fabric. It is my absolute favorite. Basket light DIY

So I just moved into my new house (it’s actually a 1936 bungalow with so much charm and beauty) and I had been eyeing the Serena and Lilly basket light fixture but didn’t want to pay $400. So I went to one of many local antique stores in my hometown and found this unique Asian fishing basket for $30  and bought a light kit at Lowe’s for about $16. And made my very own basket light. I loved the way it turned out and the uniqueness of it.
