Adding Thrifted pieces

Hello! And thank you for stopping by! I love mixing thrifted pieces with some of my non thrifted pieces. I recently scooped up this lavender skirt for $1at a local thrift shop and it is just a delight. I paired it with a cream v neck sweater and my monogram gingham tote and dark royal purple satin slides that I have been wearing non stop.
I just love this effortless look and felt so chic as I headed out to Brunch with my bestie. You can always tie in old pieces or even thrifted pieces with new ones and no one will ever know the difference - but you.
Just a little secret this top will be included in a very special sale. But you can shop my tote here and customize it.

I hope that you have a great week.

The coziest hooded pullover

Happiest of Monday's to you all! Some days you just wanna come home warm a cozy outfit and curl up and read a book. Well, I found the perfect new hooded pullover ever! I literally have been wearing it non stop ever since I purchased it. This heathered, lavender,  hooded pullover is the softest thing ever! It is lined with a lightweight fleece; so itā€™ll be perfect for when the temperatures drop. Iā€™ve been pretending itā€™s cool out by wearing it inside with the AC on full blast. But I am totally in love with with this pullover and itā€™s the best loungewear purchase Iā€™ve made thus far. Totally worth it! I sized up for a more oversized fit. Thank me later after you purchase this pullover!

Lilly Shift dress Bookmark Craft

Good Day Friends! As promised, I'm sharing one of my favorite crafts to date. My Lilly Pulitzer Shift dress bookmarks - This would even be cute as a banner too. It's a great way to repurpose your old Lilly planner  paper.

So first, I typed in shift dress templates on my laptop and found a free download that I just resized and printed out. The ones I used are pictured below. I also typed in long sleeve dress for t-shirt dress version of one of Lilly's dresses.
I then just cut out the resized template and traced it over my desired Lilly print paper from old planners.
Sometimes I double traced over bookmarks for a thicker and more sturdy bookmark.
There's variety of ways to make these cute bookmarks.
I used an adhesive like this to keep everything in place, Here's a less expensive adhesive option for the same amount.
If you don't want to do any cutting, you can also use a circuit machine (loving this lilac color); which I also own. But sometimes I love getting out my craft scissors and doing some cutting.

I add a little bit of stamping or a ribbon and voila! You've got a cute gift for a book loving friend! I might* do a little video, but in the meantime if you have any additional questions feel free to leave a note and I'll be sure to respond.

Happy crafting!

Muted tones Summer to Fall

Hi Friends! I'm so excited for fall- it truly is my favorite season ever! I love the cozy vibes and the rich colors that accompanies it. In Florida we don't experience fall until October and sometimes even November. But I do like to pretend its cool outside-lol.

My favorite part about fall is being able to wear cozy layers without looking insane and I love the muted tones. And speaking of muted tones; I am loving this muted rose dress from a small business here in Florida- Linen and Waves.
This boho vibe dress is the perfect summer to fall transition color and style and I paired it with my all time favorite cardigan and so far has been a top seller on my blog. I wear this cardigan so much its almost embarrassingšŸ˜†šŸ™ˆThat is how much I love it! I can not recommend it more. My shoes are also a great neutral and perfect for us southerners who don't want to trade in our sandals for boots quite yet. My hat is also from Linen and Waves and is a pretty creamy white with gold details-unfortunately its sold out. But be sure to follow Linen and Waves on Instagram for restocks and new items.

Fall decor

Hi Friends! I know, I know, its still summer. Buuuuuut, fall is my favorite season and my favorite season to decor for. So here's a little bit of fall decor inspiration- just a little. And I'm so tempted to pull out my fall decor, but I'm trying not to be that person. LolšŸ˜†

These pumpkins are so cute, I love a neutral pumpkin and I love green ones too. It goes with so many fall decor styles, candles always makes everything cozy and this pumpkin candle snuffer is adorable and so perfect for the coming season. This pillow is so cute and is a checklist of all of the essentials for fall. Fall is my favorite pillow. And this beautiful throw blanket is definitely on my radar. It comes in multiple colors and is under $100.

Happy weekend.

Lilly popover

Although thereā€™s lots of prepping for fall fashion; we are still in the middle of the summer here in Florida and will be even when the calendar says ā€œfall!ā€
I wanted to share with you my new favorite popover that Iā€™ve been loving! Most people wear thereā€™s in a more athleisure way. But I like fashion my way so Iā€™ve been styling it with a white midi/maxi knit skirt and have gotten so many compliments. Because itā€™s not your typical styling of a popover. I love this print and have worn it to the beach and around the house.

I also love this solid green one too! And this one for early fall.

I hope that you no enjoy the rest of your summer!

Hugs,

Hi! Today Iā€™m sharing some Florida fall outfits to transition into. Now these loafers are under $30 and so cute! This gauzy top is perfect and not overly heavy, sunglasses are a must, denim skirt instead jeans is a classy look. And I love this handbag.

This next outfit is a muted summer color palette that transitions well into fall. This dress is lightweight and great for brunch or church and I love these espadrilles too! Be my Guest, Be my Guest

Hello and thanks so much for stopping by! I love a good cozy bed that I never want to get out of. I recently refreshed my guest room and recently received the most high quality sheet set that I've owned to date. The American company Red Land Cotton was so kind to send over these hem stitched sheets and I slept in them over the weekend and Sunday morning I didn't want to get up. That's how good they are- I hear they even get better with every wash. So I am beyond excited for my guest to sleep in them too!
My favorite part about Red Land Cotton and the wonderful items that they produce is that their products are made from cotton on their Northern Alabama Farm. I love supporting American businesses and Farmers.
They also produce towels and even some classic clothing pieces. This won't be the last time you hear me talking about this wonderful company.

I always like for my guest to be comfortable and feel at home as well as have a good night sleep. Like a cozy hotel suite kinda vibe. So these are all of the things that I had in mind when updating this room. When giving this room a refresher, I added an accent wall of seagrass like wallpaper you can shop here.

The next thing I did was upgrade the bedding- Like really upgrade. The sheets that I had were so low grade and they even started to pill after a few washes. So I was sooooo happy when these beautiful Hemstitch Red Land Cotton sheets showed up at my doorstep.
My tried and true duvet is linked here but also love this one too!

I also updated the wall art- I have a quite the collection of African wall baskets that I have collected from various places like thrift shops. So here are some wall baskets that you can shop here and here. I love adding plants to every room, they just liven up a room and add such a vibrance and softness to a room.

I love pretty little vases these from Anthropologie are a great price too!
I love these  and these are cute too!

The vibe that I was going for in this room was like the rest of my house cozy, boho/coastal. And I think that I nailed it. My accent pillows are from various places and the smaller one is from a global boutique in St.Augustine. I love the various block prints that were quilted into this beautiful pillow. I also love adding old pieces with new ones. I found this beautiful vintage, creamy chenille, fringe blanket at a thrift shop. And layered it with my beautiful new sheets and my well loved white duvet.  The peacock blue velvet chair is so vibrant and adds a pop of color it was a great find. It was one of those lucky finds. But here are a few similar ones here, here, here, here, and here.

I hope that you love my Guestroom update! And special thanks to Red Land Cotton for sponsoring a portion of this post.

All thoughts and opinions are authentic, honest and my own.

Thanks so much for stopping by and see ya soon.

Loving Lately Part 10

Snail mail time! Who else loves a good old fashioned handwritten letter? Raise your hands. Well, I do too, and today I wanted to share with you a couple Etsy shops where you can find the prettiest vintage stamps and some fun stationery from a cute little Florida business.

You can find the stamps here and here. And the green toile stationery is from Giddy paperie in Winter Park, Fl. Iā€™ll link their site here.

Iā€™ve also been loving making boba tea. It has replaced my vanilla iced coffee that I use to drink as a treat. It is not super healthy. But I did a homemade recipe and used as many organic ingredients, aside from the boba, as I could.
This kiwi, strawberry and raspberry combo was delicious. Iā€™ll link the YouTube video here with other recipes to try as well.
I recommend these straws for the boba or these if you donā€™t want to have plastic waste.
I have been loving this white gauze skirt and the price is amazing! Itā€™s perfect for those Long Beach walks, brunch or even church. I truly love this skirt and wear it a lot. I recommend sizing down.

Thanks for tuning into my 10th edition of ā€œLoving Lately!ā€
Hugs from Sunny Florida!

Hi Friends! Today Iā€™m so happy to share with you a new small business Linen and Waves located in beautiful St. Augustine! I had the pleasure of stopping by last week and picked up some beautiful dresses. I also met the owner Amanda who is a total gem, she has a great upbeat personality and her store has the best coastal vibe.

So lets dive into the details of this beautiful dress- I mean it is purely beautiful and has great twirl factor. LOLšŸ˜† My favorite part is the ombre colors, it goes from a light chambray color, white a light blue and fades into a beautiful ocean blue. Linen and waves also has cute hats and we all know that I'm a hat lover. I layered my dress with a denim jacket to so that you see how to style it for fall. But it looks great on its own.

So if you are ever in St. Augustine, be sure to stop by Linen and Waves. And if you live far away, There's a website that you can visit which is super convenient.

Brunching in Pink

Hi Friends! I have been quite down lately (more on that late, maybe), so it was great to get out and meet up with my bestie and her little baby for brunch. We went a newer place in our town and it was sooooo delicious. I had a tuna, avocado and chickpea toast with a lemon vinaigrette and herbs. It was nutritious and delicious and I had a very delicious mango carrot smoothie. Usually I opt for my favorite strawberry smoothie, but I'm so glad that I switched it up. Plus they write bible verses or inspirational quotes on your cups. It's so encouraging.

So on to my outfit- I wore the brightest magenta pink silk top from here. I love this color pink its the perfect jewel tone for summer and through fall. The one linked here is more on the cooler pink side but its still bright and beautiful! Fun fact, My skirt was once a dress and I just outgrew the top so I had it turned into a skirt. I ALWAYS get sooo many compliments from it and people are so surprised when I tell them the history of this skirt. Its a great way to repurpose your clothes too. Confession- I wear this skirt so much, its so comfortable.

Here are a seven more bright pink blouses that are on my radar and that you may love yourself. They all are different price points and some are on sale.

I love this pleat front one a great summer staple and great with a blazer over it to wear into fall.

This one has a gorgeous cut out style on the front and sleeves.\

This hot pink bell sleeve top is only $41.

Puff sleeves are all the rage and this one is so elegant.

Here's another puff sleeve option.

This one is also a favorite and under $100. so worth it with the beautiful detail and great for work.

This beauty is a cotton option to the one I'm wearing.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope that you have the most beautiful day.
