Lilly Pulitzer Resort Try on Haul

The first delivery of Lilly Resort has arrived. Who else is so excited?! I tried on a few dresses from this delivery, a dress from summer and a cashmere wrap.
This dress is so perfect; its long sleeves, so the only things you need to add are a cute tote and wedges and you're all set. This might be my Thanksgiving Dinner dress. It does run loose. I tried on a size up because my regular size wasn't available. So just a tip if you're between sizes.

This one is also an option for my Thanksgiving Dinner dress; layered with this navy cardigan. This dress has a nice ruffle tier and flounce sleeves. This dress fits true to size
I tried this lilac cashmere wrap for the first time and oh my goodness. It.Is.Perfectly soft.

This caftan is beautiful and so is the print. However, it didn't look good on me. I would probably purchase this print in a different style.
This dress was on sale and I love the Moroccan lanterns in this print. This dress is from the endless summer collection.

Good Heart

Good Morning Friends! I was feeling inspired to write a devotional this morning; focusing on a good heart. The Bible talks about having a good heart in a very unique way; in that, it links it with honesty. See, having an honest and good heart produces fruit or evidence of good works and good reactions to having to change our not so good ways. For example, If God speaks to you through His Word or a Sermon that you need to change the ways that will ultimately separate you from Him. An honest and good heart will take that information and become a better Servant of God. A heart that isn't honest or good, will make excuses and be stubborn and dishonest with themselves and say " I don't need to change anything, I'm ok the way that I am and disregard the information. But as Christians, we are constantly growing and producing good fruit or evidence and should never disregard any room for improvement and growth that we separate us from our Saviour.

Luke 8:15 KJV
But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Happy Saturday Friends and Blessings!

Classy and Pink

Pink is such a classy and feminine color and it's also the perfect color for October; being that it's Breast Cancer awareness month. My Grandma and Aunt are both survivors, so in honor of all of the Survivor's I'm wearing pink. This is one of my favorite tops from Lilly, it has gold and silver thread details. Speaking of Lilly, they are also supporting this awareness all month long via signature stores and corporate stores. I love wearing a Brand that supports such a great cause.

Weekend Favorites: Recipe (Almost Dairy Free)

Over the weekend I made a dairy-free version of my Grandmother's delicious and creamy oatmeal....well, pretty close to it. For a very long time, one of my Cousins and I have tried to recreate my Grandmother's Oatmeal. She told us the recipe but still, we can't quite make it the same as hers, it is just the BEST. I have come close to it though. However, since discovering that I have to cut dairy out due to a sickness (very difficult btw.)  I am trying to find creative ways to still enjoy some of my dairy inclusive recipes without dairy. So here is my version of a creamy, delicious yet (almost) dairy-free oatmeal.

Ingredients:
Oats- mine was one serving
Brown Sugar or Cane Sugar- desired sweetness
1 Tablespoon of vanilla extract
1 1/2 tablespoons of Butter ( trying to find a good dairy-free alternative)
a pinch of salt
coconut milk or a dairy-free alternative
a cinnamon stick- I bought mine at Crate and Barrel
Walnuts

Instructions:
Let Coconut Milk simmer with vanilla extract and butter. Add in the cinnamon stick, salt, and oats and let it cook slowly for about 20 to 25 minutes. Stir in sugar. Pour in your favorite bowl and top with a dash of cinnamon and walnuts for some protein and enjoy! Let me know if you've tried this recipe.

Cozy Fall Morning

I love wearing Sherpa Jackets when its chilly outside. I recently bought this one for when it gets cooler. Here's a similar one. Also bought a new hat for the cooler months; I love wearing hats and I've been wearing the same one over and over so I figured it was time to buy a new one.

Black, White and Lilly

My style is Chic with a preppy lean and colorful; however, I love black! So today's post will be how I style my black Lilly for cooler weather and in a more chic way. My Black and White skirt is actually a matching set from Lilly. It's still available in some sizes and I'll link it for you long with similar skirt styles. All of the other exact outfits will be linked to you as well.
Lilly Skirt Set/ Similar skirt / This is my favorite Hat. I wear it all of the time and I'm actually in need of a new one. LOL! This top is actually a bodysuit, I sized up due to my naturally larger bust and wide shoulders. I do recommend sizing up if you have a larger bust. The gold tote is from Lilly and might still be available in stores, but here's a similar one.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
