Brunching in Pink

 Hi Friends! I have been quite down lately (more on that late, maybe), so it was great to get out and meet up with my bestie and her little baby for brunch. We went a newer place in our town and it was sooooo delicious. I had a tuna, avocado and chickpea toast with a lemon vinaigrette and herbs. It was nutritious and delicious and I had a very delicious mango carrot smoothie. Usually I opt for my favorite strawberry smoothie, but I'm so glad that I switched it up. Plus they write bible verses or inspirational quotes on your cups. It's so encouraging.


So on to my outfit- I wore the brightest magenta pink silk top from here. I love this color pink its the perfect jewel tone for summer and through fall. The one linked here is more on the cooler pink side but its still bright and beautiful! Fun fact, My skirt was once a dress and I just outgrew the top so I had it turned into a skirt. I ALWAYS get sooo many compliments from it and people are so surprised when I tell them the history of this skirt. Its a great way to repurpose your clothes too. Confession- I wear this skirt so much, its so comfortable.

Back to school or work Lilly Planner

Good evening friends! I hope that you've had a great Monday thus far. I recently bought a new planner from Lilly. I have been using these planners now for years. There was on particular year that I tried something new and couldn't wait until the year was over so that I could go back to my Lilly one- Lol😆
I literally love this style of planner- it works for me. I personally always get the jumbo size because I always have a busy schedule and need lots of space to write. My bestie bought me the small size; which I use for blogging and organizing my content calendar.

So since back to school is right around the corner; I thought it'd be great to share how I use my planner and share a little throw back of all my past prints.


These planners are not just great for BTS, its also great for everyday use and keeping your schedule organized. As you can see I wrote out my to do list and when I'm done I just cross it off. I also love that you have a full view of the calendar month and then each day has its own individual writing space. Some days for me are much lighter, so if I have some really busy days- I just roll my notes into the following day and that works perfectly for me. 

Now to the fun stuff, I love the pretty prints and the stickers that come with it. 
If you are super detailed, you can color coordinate by events. Like meetings or classes in purple and tasks or homework projects in green and so on...
I'm really old fashioned and just can't put my whole schedule on my phone; it just doesn't work for me since my day job is very detailed and requires a lot of organizing, planning, and specific details that just can't be put on my phone.
I love that there are several note pages in the front so that you can write extra important notes.
Another thing I do to keep the most important task at the top of the list. Is categorize things by alphabet. For example A-is for the most important task to get done that day. B- is a task that I also need to complete before the end of the day and C-if I don't complete it today its no big deal. I can follow up the following day. That's how I organize the task in my planner. How do you organize your planner?

Ralph Lauren American flag sweater

Hi Friends! As promised, I wanted to share a blogpost with some sizing info on the Ralph Lauren American flag sweater. I literally ordered it over the phone Friday and got it 24 hours later. I ordered it from the Worth Ave. RL store because I wanted to keep my dollars here in Florida. But you can definitely order online here.




Now, sizing- I ordered my regular size and it fits perfectly. However, It'll be snug if I want to layer underneath. But, I have no plans on layering underneath, I'll mostly be layering on top with coats, blazers, etc. 

I highly recommend if you are between sizes to size up and if you want to layer underneath, size up as well. 

It's meant to fit a little more slim and modern according to the website. And from my wearing of it, I agree.  It is not tight though, so no worries there. It is great quality as to be expected, its 100% cotton and it is NOT itchy at all. It comes in 2 colors cream and navy. I hope that come out with a turtleneck version- I'd love to have that in Navy for winter.

I plan on styling it for cooler mornings/evenings on the beach during cooler months, also with denim and riding boots for a classic look or layered with a coat and heels for a more elevated classic and chic look.

Overall, its a 5 star sweater to me and worth every dime, as it is a classic and can be styled so many ways throughout the year and not just during patriotic months.

Abbey Glass classics



Happy July 5th! I hope that you all had a great 4th of July and celebrating our beautiful countries freedom.

I wanted to continue with the fresh colors of summer and talk about my favorite Abbey Glass pieces that I have mixed and paired with other pieces. Like this beautiful organza skirt paired with  their new linen pieces. This deep ocean green/blue tie top. It comes with a matching bottom but wanted to show how this cute top looked with their skirt and how you can easily style it a variety of ways. I paired it with heels and a hat for a classy look. 


I also styled this skirt earlier in the spring with a chambray top and cardigan for a more casual look.
 

One of my favorite things about styling outfits is getting creative with multiple ways of styling each piece.

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July- also known as Independence Day for our wonderful country! I'm beyond grateful to live here and to have most of my freedom. I'll always fight to maintain the freedom given to us by our Creator first and foremost and aid out by our Founding fathers. 

Today I spent it at church where I have the freedom to worship and with my mom and 2 year old nephew.

Mom and I took him back home and enjoyed a delicious lunch at a Laotian restaurant and it was quite tasty and then hopped over to our favorite Boba tea shop.

I was quite exhausted so after coming home, I took a lovely nap to refresh. I'm a firm believer in getting rest. I hope that everyone has had and are having a great 4th.

Blues and creamy whites

 Happy Monday Friends! I hope that its' been a good one. Today I'm sharing more about three small business brands. One of them I mentioned on my instagram how I love their tote bag for work; I have been using it constantly. It holds so much and its great for trips too! The quality is absolutely amazing- I was quite surprised. I have quite the tote collection, so I'm very familiar with quality totes. Next up is Mindo Hats- I have a blogpost dedicated to their hats here. I'm wearing one of my favorites and I have a dark blue ribbon on to match my outfit. My hat is custom but all hats come with a beautiful grosgrain black ribbon.

The Coast Brand has become a new favorite- their tops and dresses are embroidered in the prettiest hues and are made in India! It gives me all of the coastal vibes! I recently purchased my white gauze maxi skirt and I love love love it! I've been in need of a new white skirt my other one was worn out and old and doesn't fit very well any more. I purchased this one for a very inexpensive price and its also an extra 15% off. Even better! I'll link it here.
As far as sizing take your true size- I sized up because I wasn't sure- I should've taken my regular size but its better loose than too tight. I'm also wearing the Tall option- Just FYI.

Spring outfit favorites

Happiest of Sundays Friends! I rounded up my favorite outfits from Spring that I constantly wore and will continuing wearing in the Summer time.

 Of course Lilly, this is my favorite dress at the moment and so is this cardigan. I wear it multiple times a week.

Packing This dress was the best decision I made- I love it so much!




This dress might be sold out- It sold out quickly but it is available in other colors and pretty blue and white stripe too! My favorite cork sandals are so comfy!

Hats Hats and more Hats

Hi There! For those of you who have been following along for a while, know that I love hats. I wear them with 90% of my outfits; hats just make an outfit look so put together and so chic.

My Vacation Tips

 Hi Friends! I have been in full action mode over here and I'm loving it! So I wanted to share with you my vacation tips to make your vacation time enjoyable and when you return from vacation an easy transition back into your regularly scheduled programming. 

Tip #1 Plan outfits according to activities and your surroundings. Like when mom and I were in Palm Beach, I packed outfits for spending most of our time by the water i.e. Lilly Pulitzer and Sail to Sable pieces.


Tip #2 Make your bed/tidy the house; so that its neat for when you return and it'll be easy to unpack and get back to your regular schedule.





Tip #3 Scope out great places to eat and check out the menus before hand. Mom and I loved the Almond 
I ordered the most delicious Lobster omelette with avocado and bacon. OH MY SOOOO GOOD! We dined outside and it was breezy and lovely.
Tip #4 Explore! Find hidden gems and steer away from touristy areas- less crowds and you'll be surprised by what you may find. Mom and I found the prettiest spots that I've never seen before and I've been to Palm Beach quite a few times. 





Tip #5 Relax- mom and I just enjoyed the warm breeze and found a little boba tea shop and walked around and relaxed by the water. It truly was so peaceful and relaxing and it helped me reflect on what's most important. And embrace all of God's beauty around me.
Tip #6 Download your favorite audiobooks or pick some up at the library. Choose ones with a timeframe according to your travel distance; so that you're not getting too anxious but enjoying the car ride and listening to your favorite stories.




Lastly, Tip #7 Pack some healthy snacks- you never know when you might get a little hungry in between meals; but might not want to stop at every fast food or convenient shop. It saves you time and a little money.

Styling Neutrals and Basics

Hello! Welcome to my color styling series- The first of hopefully many. I wanted to do color styling segments in both Interiors and Outfits, to provide inspiration to you in whatever colors you love or lean towards in Fashion or Interiors. So with that being said, Lets take a look to see how I styled this mostly white outfit. 


Spring time is the perfect time to pickup/replenish those basics that we wear over and over again and are classics and closet staples. This lightweight, white blouse is a fresh take on your basic button shirt; with the tiny little details that add so much detail. I styled mine with an off white maxi skirt (size up) and some raffia sandals that I love and have had since last year; however, here is a similar one. And also, one of my favorite hat styles-the fedora.

White button downs are such a staple and can be worn with so many different ways. I did a little French tuck and tied in the front too! It can be worn with denim, over a maxi and with other printed skirts- The styling options are endless. They are also perfect for those sweltering hots months that we experience here in the South.
