Loving Lately

Hi Friends, I wanted to share with you all the things that I have been loving lately. It's everything from books to recipes to blogs. I'm not sure how often I'll do them but I thought today would be a good start.

So with that being said let's start with books!
I just finished this book Words on Fire and I really liked it; without giving too much away here's a summary. It takes place in Lithuania under Russian rule and books, religion, culture, and even the Lithuanian language is banned. Annnnd that's all I'm going to say. Loved this one

Next on my list of things I'm loving lately are Natalie Yerger's blog and IG account. I have been following her for a while now and I love her classic, French neutral style. You definitely should check out her blog and go give her a follow. I'm always inspired by her home decorating and she has a beautiful Gold Retriever!

I am so in love with my purple embroidered dress and have been trying to find any and every occasion to wear it! It's from Zara favorite purchase from them. I've dressed it up and styled it more casually. LOVE it!

This Cashmere Crewneck Sweater has been on repeat also and I'm not ashamed about it either. It is the most versatile and practical sweater and the quality is great! It's not itchy and it comes in a plethora of colors- I have about 5 other colors on my wishlist. I'm wearing my true size. I highly recommend it and it's under $100 which is great for cashmere and can be layered also.

Now let's talk about food- we all know that I love to cook and I love good food. I have been tinkering with Indian cuisine lately and a co-worker turned me on to Butter chicken. I tweaked it by adding peas because I wanted some veggies to go along with it. Trust me once you try this recipe you WILL be addicted. I'm craving it now. LOL

Ok, so candles are my favorite home accessories and just my favorite in general. I found this one at hobby lobby and have been loving this scent. Y'all it smells SO.GOOD! You can use your 40% off hobby lobby coupon if it's not already on sale. It's not super expensive either even full price which is great.

Lastly, My Sarah Flint Natalie Flats have been my most favorite shoe and goes with so much. I love the classic style with the pointed toe and asymmetrical bow. This color is great for year-round but especially for fall because of the rich tone.

Well, thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the blog world. I hope that you check out the things that I'm loving lately and let me know if you do. Have a great day and stop back by soon!💜

Cozy Sherpa Pullover

Happy Saturday Friends! I love a cozy day at home and I'm loving that the weather has been a little, just a little cooler at night and in the early mornings. I love sitting by the fireplace or on my porch and just enjoying the comforts of being home. I also love this super soft sherpa pullover in this multi color and print. I bought it during the nordstrom sale back in August but it was way too hot to wear. It's still not cold enough to wear quite yet but its been breezy at night and cool enough to wear sitting on the porch. Plus, I wanted to encourage you to get this before it sells out! It is the softest ever and perfect colors for fall and winter. Let me know if you get it so that we can twin!

Have a cozy Saturday and hugs from Florida ☀

Styling a T-shirt dress

Happy Happy day two of fall. One of my favorite things to wear in the world are dresses and just because the weather may be cooling down, doesn't mean I'll be packing away my dresses. NOOOO, definitely not! In fact, more dress styles are coming your way here on Living Shae; with that being said, I wanted to share with you my favorite new t-shirt dress from Madewell, unfortunately, it literally sold out a few days ago so I can't link it for you. However, I wanted to show you how I took a more summer staple into the fall by adding a denim jacket, a hat in this rich wine color and my favorite ever pointed toe flats ever! Be sure to use this link to get $50 off your purchase on these beautiful flats.

I hope that everyone has a spectacular rest of the day and go outside to enjoy this beautiful weather that we are having🍁

Skincare Products for more Moisture and Hyperpigmentation

Hi Friends,
As promised I wanted to share my favorite skincare products that I use and love. And I also wanted to share how I deal with hyperpigmentation and also keeping my skin very moisturized. Disclaimer* I'm by no means stating that my skin is perfect- I have a long ways to go. In fact I have a very painful small hormonal cyst-like bump forming on my cheek right now. So like I have said before I have struggled with hyperpigmentation (melasma) and still do and it's mostly hormonal and really can't be helped. But I try to reduce it by using a very good sunscreen, this is the one that I use and have been using it now for years. It is not greasy and comes in tinted or regular. I have found the a lot of you use it also and love it. I also wear a lot of hats to keep the sun off my face because if I don't I'll have major bloches of melasma and it is not a pretty sight.
To be honest, when I was a teenager, I did not take care of my skin. When I got in my twenties I started researching products and becoming more aware of not only taking care of my body but also my skin. I did not moisturize properly or even at all. Now I moisturize like crazy! I use This one during the day and It. Is. The.Best. Ever! And I am not exaggerating at all. I literally can't use anything else, ts that good. I have also started using an eye gel during the day underneath my moisturizer. I use this one from Clinique and it has little moisture beads in them.
At night I have been using this moisturizer and sometimes a mask. I occasionally layer my night time moisturizer with a little bit of shea butter for a little extra or this oil and I love it. It gives my skin a nice glow. As I have said before I'm not a makeup wearer, so I love taking care of my skin from the inside out. Like eating good and healthy foods and drinking tons of water. Don't get me wrong I eat my share of Chickfila and love boba tea or a delicious cup of vanilla iced coffee. However, That's in moderation like all unhealthy things we enjoy like fried chicken, etc.

I'll link each product pictured just in case you'd like to check them out for yourself. Also, if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me.
Clinique Moisture surge here and here/ EltaMD sunscreen/ My moisturizer/ Eye cream for night time/ eye gel for the day/ L'Occitane reset oil/ Also a great option as a moisturizer is this one from SkinCeuticals and this one from First Aid Beauty (exclusively on sale in the LTK app starting the 20th -22nd)
I hope that you've enjoyed this post and liked reading about my skincare routine and products that I love.
Goodnight from Florida💜

Rainy Fall Activity

Happy Autumn Friends! Here in Florida, it doesn't quite feel like autumn, and it's been raining Every. Single.Day. And All. Day. Long! So with that being said, I love getting dressed up and heading to the library and gather all of the books and reading on a cozy, rainy autumn day. I've been wearing this  Duffield Lane Evergreen vest nonstop and the color is just so gorgeous for Autumn and I paired it with my purple Elsa top from Lilly and Purple bow flats.
So even if you live in a place where dressing up for Autumn activities are not possible create your own Fun activities and throw on your favorite outfit - be sure to add this beautiful vest to your outfit you'll thank me later!
What are some of your favorite Autumn activities?

Thanks so much for stopping by my little happy place on the internet.

Let's talk Cashmere

Hi Friends,  I have been loving all of the J.Crew crewneck cashmere sweaters want them in every color. I recently wore this pretty papaya pink one to church with this blonde animal print pleated skirt. It gives a pop of color yo this beautiful autumn print. One positive thing I found about this cashmere sweater is that it is not itchy at all; I have had cashmere sweaters and I couldn't tolerate the itch. I'm happy to say that this one doesn't itch at all. J.Crew recently added more colors and styles to their cashmere collection and there are two colors that are on my "to buy ASAP' list!😍 I'm sure that you can guess the colors!!!!! Another positive feature is that it is very warm, I have no problem staying warm here in Florida, lol. But if I'm inside a building and if it gets too cold I appreciate the extra warmth. The size runs true to size; I'm wearing my regular size that I typically wear in all my J.Crew clothes. So I highly recommend ordering your true size. There is also a mock neck option here if you're in the market. Now on to the skirt that I'm wearing, It fits on the smaller side so I recommend ordering a size up. This skirt comes in sizes small, medium, and large. This is the perfect fall print but on the lighter side if you're not into wearing dark colors for fall. It has such a classy vibe to it. I paired this whole outfit with my new favorite sandals from Zara- if you have a narrow foot like I do, I recommend sizing down. Here is a less expensive sandal option. This hat I'm wearing is my favorite hat ever and wear it waaaay too much. I need to buy another one just so that I can have a back up; that's how much I love this hat.

I hope that this post was informative enough for you and thank you so much for stopping by.
Hugs from Florida🌞

Late Night Soup Making

Happy Wednesday Friends! If you saw my instastory from last night you probably already knew that I've been in the kitchen making this yummy dish. Well, I usually save my first soup recipe for the first sign of cool weather🍁 But I had a taste for soup and I had some random veggies in the fridge from the farmers market and I wanted to clear out my fridge before I do some refilling. This recipe by no means is original; I'm sure its been made somewhere else before. But I've never made a soup concoction list this is new to me and I can't wait to share it. So first things first use whatever you'd like but these are the ingredients I had:

Kale, Baby Carrots, Half an onion, a half TBS of garlic, zucchini, dried Thyme and Rosemary, Chicken broth, Small kidney beans, Bay leaf for flavor, salt and pepper to taste.
For the Dumplings, I melted some butter, dried Rosemary, milk and mixed it together and added it to the soup for about an hour.
And voila! I have a delicious dinner for tonight.🍁

I also wanted to include all of the cooking essentials I used to make this delicious soup.

The star of the show is my wonderful crockpot; It was hard at work while I was sleeping. I love my flatware, I'll link a couple options here and here. White bowls here and here. The ladle,  best utensil for scooping out the delicious broth, I love love love my marble cutting board and actually probably need to buy a new one. I've had it for a while and it's perfect. Wooden spoons and glass measuring cup and here's an option with a lid.

I hope that this post inspires you to get creative in the kitchen and use whatever you have in your fridge to make a yummy meal.
Stay tuned for more deliciousness🍁
Hugs!

Purple Eyelet and Utility Jacket

Hi Friends, Thank you so much for stopping by! I'm so excited to share with you this beautiful, purple, eyelet, tiered maxi dress. We all know that I love, love, love Purple, and will be wearing it all fall long. This dress is from Zara and runs pretty true to size the dress is fuller in the body. One thing I wanted to point out is that if you are like me a little fuller in the bust area it is a little snug. But overall is a good fit and I have no complaints. The utility jacket that I paired with it is a more casual style and I wanted to mix things up by pairing a dressier maxi with a more casual jacket. To show how to bring a summertime dress into the autumn months🍁 I'll link three utility jacket options here, here, and here at different price points so you have more to choose from. I'll also link other purple dresses that I'm loving here, here, here, and here.

Shoes: sold out similar here and here.
Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my blog. I always appreciate your support comments, encouragement, and messages.

Goodnight from my hotel room far from home!💜

Leopard Is a Neutral

Hi Friends! I love leopard, I mean LOVE! I mix in a little leopard during the summer, but I really pair it with so much during the cooler months. This dress is my absolute favorite and it is the perfect neutral to pair with this wine red felt hat. To me, leopard is a neutral and can be worn with other prints and a plethora of colors. Stay tuned for other ways of how I style leopard throughout the cooler months.
My shoes are a cognac leather wedge heel with a little buckle - gift from my mom so, unfortunately, I can't link it. But I'll link a similar pair here. I'll also link a few styles of leopard dress options for you too!

Fall Tones with Duffield Lane

Hi Friends! Fall is my favorite season ever! Not that the weather changes too much in Florida; but when the temperature does drop it is absolutely perfect🍁🍂🍃 One of my other favorite things about Fall time is getting to wear deep colors. I normally wear a lot of bright colors most of the year, but I love branching out during the Fall and wearing colors I usually don't wear. With that being said two colors I'm trying out this year are Papaya and Evergreen. I paired both colors together for a unique color combo and let me tell ya, I'm loving it so much. This Duffield Lane vest in this gorgeous Evergreen color is my absolute favorite piece from them and I have quite a few pieces. This vest can easily be worn well into winter which is perfect. I love pieces that you can get multiple wears from. I also have the white version that I have worn during the spring and summer months. The Evergreen color is just😍

I love the gold details annnnnnddd it has pockets! Now let's talk about this papaya colored cashmere crew neck sweater, I bought this very recently from JCrew on mega sale. It's currently sold out but I'll link all of the other beautiful colors here. I'll also link this silky slip on skirt for you as well. You can totally wear the sweater and skirt on its own for a monochromatic yet chic look. I paired this whole outfit with my favorite leopard heels from Sarah Flint (get $50 off your first full price order with this link.) My Leopard clutch is old but I'll link another leopard option for you. Sunglasses here

Note*Duffield Lane Evergreen Vest gifted, but all opinions are my own.
Be sure to check out all of their beautiful and classic pieces for fall. I'll definitely be wearing this vest a lot throughout the fall and winter months.

Thank You so much Duffield Lane.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and all of your support.
Have a great week💜
