Skincare Products for more Moisture and Hyperpigmentation

Hi Friends,
As promised I wanted to share my favorite skincare products that I use and love. And I also wanted to share how I deal with hyperpigmentation and also keeping my skin very moisturized. Disclaimer* I'm by no means stating that my skin is perfect- I have a long ways to go. In fact I have a very painful small hormonal cyst-like bump forming on my cheek right now. So like I have said before I have struggled with hyperpigmentation (melasma) and still do and it's mostly hormonal and really can't be helped. But I try to reduce it by using a very good sunscreen, this is the one that I use and have been using it now for years. It is not greasy and comes in tinted or regular. I have found the a lot of you use it also and love it. I also wear a lot of hats to keep the sun off my face because if I don't I'll have major bloches of melasma and it is not a pretty sight.
To be honest, when I was a teenager, I did not take care of my skin. When I got in my twenties I started researching products and becoming more aware of not only taking care of my body but also my skin. I did not moisturize properly or even at all. Now I moisturize like crazy! I use This one during the day and It. Is. The.Best. Ever! And I am not exaggerating at all. I literally can't use anything else, ts that good. I have also started using an eye gel during the day underneath my moisturizer. I use this one from Clinique and it has little moisture beads in them.
At night I have been using this moisturizer and sometimes a mask. I occasionally layer my night time moisturizer with a little bit of shea butter for a little extra or this oil and I love it. It gives my skin a nice glow. As I have said before I'm not a makeup wearer, so I love taking care of my skin from the inside out. Like eating good and healthy foods and drinking tons of water. Don't get me wrong I eat my share of Chickfila and love boba tea or a delicious cup of vanilla iced coffee. However, That's in moderation like all unhealthy things we enjoy like fried chicken, etc.

I'll link each product pictured just in case you'd like to check them out for yourself. Also, if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me.
Clinique Moisture surge here and here/ EltaMD sunscreen/ My moisturizer/ Eye cream for night time/ eye gel for the day/ L'Occitane reset oil/ Also a great option as a moisturizer is this one from SkinCeuticals and this one from First Aid Beauty (exclusively on sale in the LTK app starting the 20th -22nd)
I hope that you've enjoyed this post and liked reading about my skincare routine and products that I love.
Goodnight from Florida💜

Spa Day with Sephora’s Spring Savings

Hi Friends, since all of the spas are closed, unfortunately; I thought it'd be great to create an at-home spa experience. Which actually can be so fun and possibly a lot cleaner. I love taking care of my skin from the inside out and buying good products for my skin is worth the price. Sephora is currently having its spring savings sale and it so happens that I'm in need of some replenishing of some items that I use religiously and work great for my skin.  First things first, are you a Sephora Beauty Insider?  If not, it's you definitely should- it's totally free. For each tier of membership, Sephora insiders will have their own special weekend to shop for discounts. I'll link it for you to sign up for your savings. Just so you know Insider members get 10% off event purchases online with code SPRINGSAVE .

Here my personal skincare routine is broken down step by step. I use African black soap to cleanse my face- My dermatologist told me to use the liquid version because the bar soap can hold bacteria. I'll link the liquid version here just in case you are interested. I have noticed a drastic change in my skin; specifically hyperpigmentation (melasma). This soap is vegan, raw and organic which is great for your skin. Occasionally I like to do a mask for that ultimate spa feeling. Here are a few really good ones, here, here, and here. Depending on what you are trying to tackle for your skin each of these are beneficial in their own way. I mostly aim for hydration. The closer I get to thirty, I can't believe I just typed that, 😦 Anyway, the closer that I get to that number, I have been focusing on the skin around my eyes. I have been using Mario Badescu's Eye cream for close to two years and it is extremely hydrating and I even travel with it. That's how much I love it.
One of my favorite Moisturizers is this one here. I have been using this for a long time. It's very rich for my dry skin and the scent is very light and I love it. I linked some Like to Know It app-exclusive sales on my Like to Know It page.
I happen to be blessed with a beautiful clawfoot tub and I love to take bubble baths in it.  I'm kinda sensitive to a lot of bubble bath liquids but this one happens to be pretty gentle for certain areas.

I hope that you decide to treat yourself to a nice at-home spa day with a nice bubble bath, a book, and a cozy candle. happy Sunday!

My Favorite Skincare products

Taking care of my skin is extremely important. I love good quality skincare/ body care products and one of my favorite companies for skincare is L'Occitane. I use quite a few of their products in my skincare routine. My daily moisturizer containing shea butter which is my favorite. I have very dry skin so I use the ultra-rich moisturizer. I wash my hands a lot at work when for safety and my hands get so dry, but I found the L'Occitane shea butter hand cream is so moisturizing and it's my favorite (as you can see my tube is almost used up) and it is not greasy at all. My new favorite is the Verbena perfume that I purchased in NYC on 5th avenue. It smells so fresh and citrusy- the perfect spring and summer scent. I highly recommend it.

I recently tried a sample of their face oil made with a combination of essential oils and I'm in love. It is on my list to purchase the next time I'm at L'Occitane.
I by no means have perfect skin but I do enjoy trying to care and pampering my skin with well made high-quality products.  This post is not sponsored I just love these products and these are what I truly love and use.

Packing up!

Packing up for another work trip! I bought this Lilly weekender over the weekend- I'm amazed at how large this bag is and how much it fits, plus it extends if you need more room. The print is also gorgeous. I also picked up a new moisturizer from L'Occitane, it is my new favorite for my dry skin.  They were having a special gift with purchase, so I received this cute bag filled with goodies. The print is a collaboration with Rifle Paper co. located in beautiful Winter Park, Florida. The cosmetic bag is sold out online but I've linked the same products just without the bag. Anyone else traveling? I'd love to hear from you, feel free to leave a comment.

Travel Essentials

I'll be doing some traveling in the next couple of weeks- Some for work and some with Family. So, I decided to write a little post on my travel essentials- things that I must bring with me anytime I travel.  First things first, a cute travel bag is a must! I like to bring my own blanket from home, so I usually put my blanket in a big tote. I recently bought this one at Lilly Pulitzer. In the winter my hands get really dry, plus I was my hands a lot while I'm working. So this Shea Butter hand cream from L'Occitaine is extremely moisturizing.

Stress relief essential oils because sometimes there are stressful days! This was a bday gift.
My laptop because I work from it almost everyday. My camera- because you never know when you will see the most beautiful sight.
I personally don't wear makeup, so I try to take really good care of my skin. I love this skincare line from Mario Badescu. The beauty expert at Ultra recommended the eye cream and I fell in love.  Its extremely moisturizing. I liked it so much I decided to try the night cream. Not only do I try to take care of the outside. But I ( try to) drink a lot of water to stay hydrated and moisturized.
Was anyone else able to pick up a Lilly for Swell bottle? I love mine! They sold out so quick. I love hearing from you all feel free to leave a comment on your favorite travel essentials.

Homemade Body Scrub

Hi There! I wanted to share with you my personal homemade body scrub. Its really simple and very moisturizing. It also makes a great gift. So first things first. Find a pretty glass jar, Mine was a preserves jar with a pretty copper lid. Its a little more than 11oz.

Now ingredients:
1-2 Table spoons of Organic Coconut Oil ( I highly recommend Organic since you are putting it on your skin)
 Half of an Organic Lemon
Half a cup of Sugar
* Any essential oil that you may want to add*
I chose Avocado oil and added a Tablespoon in a half
Mix all of the ingredients together and there you go! I chose the coconut oil because my skin loves it and I use it in place of lotion on days that I don't use my body scrub. The lemon lightens up any scars you may have and the Avocado oil is a natural humectant which means it naturally preserves moisture. Which is great for me because I have dry skin. I also use coconut oil and avocado oil on my hair which is very tight and curly in texture and needs all of the moisture I can give it. *This scrubs is so perfect for me. Adjust this recipe according to your particular  needs and preference. Especially if you have an Allergy to any of these ingredients*

I love exfoliating with this scrub. It lives my skin feeling super soft and moisturized and don't even have to use Lotion.
You can store this in your refrigerator up to 7 days. Let me know if you tried it out. And thank you for stopping by.
