Autumn blues

Hi Friends! So now that Labor Day is behind us, we can officially and unapologetically talk about autumn! If you’ve been around for a while, you may know that Autumn is my favorite season. Not that it really cools down much here in Florida (that happens closer to the end of October) but the humidity is less and I love the colors and the cozy vibes.

One color I’m loving for Autumn is rich jeweled blues; Sail to Sable recently released their Autumn collection and it is full of beautiful rich blues.

This floral top I’m wearing is apart of their first autumn collection of the season and it is the perfect color and print for transitioning into Autumn. Especially here in the south. I love the ruffle details on the sleeves. It looks great with white (I break rules) and denim too. I wore mine with a white skirt for a dressed up look for work or dinner.

I hope you check out the new collection and thanks so much for stopping by.

Muted tones Summer to Fall

Hi Friends! I'm so excited for fall- it truly is my favorite season ever! I love the cozy vibes and the rich colors that accompanies it. In Florida we don't experience fall until October and sometimes even November. But I do like to pretend its cool outside-lol.

My favorite part about fall is being able to wear cozy layers without looking insane and I love the muted tones. And speaking of muted tones; I am loving this muted rose dress from a small business here in Florida- Linen and Waves.
This boho vibe dress is the perfect summer to fall transition color and style and I paired it with my all time favorite cardigan and so far has been a top seller on my blog. I wear this cardigan so much its almost embarrassing😆🙈That is how much I love it! I can not recommend it more. My shoes are also a great neutral and perfect for us southerners who don't want to trade in our sandals for boots quite yet. My hat is also from Linen and Waves and is a pretty creamy white with gold details-unfortunately its sold out. But be sure to follow Linen and Waves on Instagram for restocks and new items.

At home Pedicure

Hello Friends! So I had my very first at-home pedicure and it was a success. Since the spas are closed still- I decided to do my own pedicure because I was long overdue. I wanted to share the items that I used for my at-home pedicure. First things first I had to soak my toes and get any remaining gel off and then I took a nice hot bath and let my feet soak. I wanted to mention that I bought the most amazing and skin-softening soap from a small boutique named Agapanthus. They have quite a few scents- I have actually bought them for my mom and my sister for Mother's Day last year and this year, so I'm a big fan. They are made in France and fairly inexpensive for such high quality. I'll link the website to purchase here. I bought the carrot scent for myself and it smells ahhhhmazing!!!!!!😍 If you'd like to check out more of Agapanthus great gifts, decor, and spa essentials I'll link their website here and their Instagram.

I did buy pumice stone for my heels to soften them up and to get rid of any callused skin which wasn't very much. I try to take care of my feet since I love wearing sandals. But I highly recommend buying a pumice stone. Afterward, I used a foot mask from the same boutique and I loved it. I really felt like I was in a spa except in my own home. I let the foot mask stay on for about 20 minutes and then added my favorite moisturizers.

If you've been wanting to do your own pedicure, I highly recommend it. Especially on a weekend, where you're winding down for the evening and staying home.

I'll link my robe - which I had monogrammed here.

Happy Sunday Friends.

Spa Day with Sephora’s Spring Savings

Hi Friends, since all of the spas are closed, unfortunately; I thought it'd be great to create an at-home spa experience. Which actually can be so fun and possibly a lot cleaner. I love taking care of my skin from the inside out and buying good products for my skin is worth the price. Sephora is currently having its spring savings sale and it so happens that I'm in need of some replenishing of some items that I use religiously and work great for my skin.  First things first, are you a Sephora Beauty Insider?  If not, it's you definitely should- it's totally free. For each tier of membership, Sephora insiders will have their own special weekend to shop for discounts. I'll link it for you to sign up for your savings. Just so you know Insider members get 10% off event purchases online with code SPRINGSAVE .

Here my personal skincare routine is broken down step by step. I use African black soap to cleanse my face- My dermatologist told me to use the liquid version because the bar soap can hold bacteria. I'll link the liquid version here just in case you are interested. I have noticed a drastic change in my skin; specifically hyperpigmentation (melasma). This soap is vegan, raw and organic which is great for your skin. Occasionally I like to do a mask for that ultimate spa feeling. Here are a few really good ones, here, here, and here. Depending on what you are trying to tackle for your skin each of these are beneficial in their own way. I mostly aim for hydration. The closer I get to thirty, I can't believe I just typed that, 😦 Anyway, the closer that I get to that number, I have been focusing on the skin around my eyes. I have been using Mario Badescu's Eye cream for close to two years and it is extremely hydrating and I even travel with it. That's how much I love it.
One of my favorite Moisturizers is this one here. I have been using this for a long time. It's very rich for my dry skin and the scent is very light and I love it. I linked some Like to Know It app-exclusive sales on my Like to Know It page.
I happen to be blessed with a beautiful clawfoot tub and I love to take bubble baths in it.  I'm kinda sensitive to a lot of bubble bath liquids but this one happens to be pretty gentle for certain areas.

I hope that you decide to treat yourself to a nice at-home spa day with a nice bubble bath, a book, and a cozy candle. happy Sunday!
