Hi Friends, thanks for stopping by my little creative corner of the blog world! I thought since I'm home a lot more these days that it'd be great to do a little fireplace mantle refresh. Spring is probably my second favorite month; mostly because of all the bright and fresh colors. I decided to do a boho-tropical decor vibe with the palm fronds, colorful Anthropologie inspired vase and succulent plants. By just adding these few elements and some floral related books, it added instant life to the mantle. I hope that you are inspired by the update!

Hi Friends! Since I've been home during the afternoon time and all of my favorite stores are closed. I've decided to freshen up my reading nook with a few plants, pillows, and art from other rooms; that I actually planned on getting rid of but found it looked great in the reading nook.

Hi Friends! Thanks for stopping by and reading my little blog. I decided to do a little fireplace mantle decorating by adding palm fronds and glass vases for a chic look. Also picked up a new seat cushion for the side chair and added copper hand painted plate of a tropical bird. I found it at a local antique store for $15. It’s a perfect addition; plus I love copper. I have small copper cookware collection too.

Hi Friends! Thank you so much for stopping by. Those who know me really well know that I love good smelling candles; especially when they are non-GMO and 100% natural! With that being said I am so happy to be working with Vellabox again. I worked with them last year- I'll link that post here. Vellabox is a candle subscription company that carries a variety of natural and vegan candles that smell oh so good! They also carry natural skin care products filled with great ingredients like Shea Butter which is my personal favorite I use it almost every day.

I don't know about you, but all of this rain is making me want to stay inside, turn on a fragrant candle and read a book. It makes me feel so cozy when a candle is burning and I can hear the rain outside. I recently spruced up my little reading nook with some new books and added a delicious smelling candle from Vellabox. If you've never heard of Vellabox before its a monthly candle subscription company with a price as low as $10 a month. I'm currently burning the Cactus blossom candle and it smells so good. It has a soft floral fragrance. The candles are 100% soy wax and hand-poured with essential oil infused fragrances; phthalate-free, lead-free, petroleum-free, as well as vegan. Vellabox also offers other wonderful items such as Natural Lip Ice sunscreen. It left my lips very moisturizing and the sunscreen is perfect since I live in Florida, sunscreen is very important. I also love the box and pretty cactus bag the candles come in. Such a pretty touch. I have a little giveaway planned with one of these candles from Vellabox stayed tuned to find out. I'll post details on my Instagram soon. (petalprep)
