At home office

Hi Friends! So I wanted to share with you a little home office inspiration. Now disclaimer* My office is far from perfect and is always so messy between my day job and filled with boxes from my hobby of blogging. However, I'm really loving the bright and airiness it gives off, unlike before! Now, There used to be a hideous indoor/outdoor carpet in here and it was AWFUL! My flooring guy that I've used in all of my flooring projects throughout the years, ripped it out and discovered some old flooring underneath. Below the first three photos are the before photos- brace yourselves!

Most of the items in my office are either from HomeGoods, thrift stores, or online. I get questions about this beautiful framed coastal art piece, I'll link similar ones here, here, here, and here.
One of my favorite elements in my office is my seagrass like wallpaper. I have the natural color, but it also comes in a pretty blue. Its a peel and stick option and is under $50 a roll.

Another favorite is my Vintage style rug from India. I love the Turquoise, cream, and fringe color and details. Its a little bit coastal in the colors and boho with the print and tassels. Definitely my vibe!
My desk is also the perfect size for this space- it is a good size but not too big. It's just how I like it. I purchased it here and its under $200. My curtains are a natural linen and the curtain rod hardware is linked here. I love this curtain hardware and have it throughout my home. The quality is great and sturdy and it comes in other finishes.
The walls used to be a very bright lemony yellow. But I tones it down with the seagrass wallpaper and the color White Duck from SW.

We removed the large cabinet that was taking up so much space and replaced it with my desk which fits so much better. Once we removed the carpet and this large cabinet; the whole space looked five times larger!

Like I said before, I'm loving this space so much and love working from here whenever I work from home. It sparks joy!

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading; I'd love to hear from you.

Wallpaper I'm loving

How is it Monday already?! We were just saying, "Its Friday!" Anyways, I spent most of my weekend at home cuddled up in my PJs and it was super crazy and cozy. I love being home when its rainy, all snuggled up. Speaking of home- I know some of you are still working from home. Occasionally I work from home as well. I recently gave my home office a little makeover and one of the ways I did was by adding a peel and stick wallpaper. You probably have seen me post about this peel and stick wall paper and I absolutely love it! It has added so much character to this space. Even better its under $50 per roll- I used a little less than two rolls for this accent wall. It comes in other colors but I chose the natural shade. *NOTE I do no recommend this wallpaper on textured walls. The walls in my office are smooth so it works perfectly.

I also love a good subtle patterned wallpaper- If I ever have a design project where I can use Wallpaper, this one from Serena and Lily is definitely on my list.
More seagrass wallpaper that isn't peel and stick Here, here, and here.

This palm print is so fun- its definitely a statement. You can use it in small spaces, like a laundry room or even for something dramatic like a playroom in a beach house.

I'm also loving this subtle neutral vine wallpaper- this would be great in a nursery paired with blush or peach or even lavender for a little girl. It'd also be great paired with aqua, powder blue, gray or oatmeal for a more neutral pallette for a little boy.

Lastly, another neutral but I'm loving the palm print. The pattern is very sophisticated yet fun and would be great in a bedroom.

Anyone need a room redecorated? I'd love to fill your house with lots of wallpaper. LOLšŸ˜†
Which is your Favorite? I'd love to know.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Cozy at home with Draper James

Hi Friends! Its been a rainy weekend here; which is a perfect reason to stay in my cozy night gown all day. Iā€™ve been in need of some new pjs and night gowns. So I recently scooped this one up and it arrived in the mail this week and Iā€™m truly loving this pink/magnolia bloom print. The best part is that itā€™s only $48 and comes in navy too!

I poured my self a cup of water and watched the trees blow in the wind and listened to the rain fall. It truly was so relaxing- As for the night gown it is my new favorite! I love the southern and classic design of the magnolias; I actually have a very large magnolia tree in the yard and itā€™s one of my favorites. Iā€™ll link the night gown here; Iā€™m wearing my true size btw. It also, would make a great gift for your mom for Motherā€™s Day- Your mama will thank you lateršŸ’œ

Gifts for Mama

Good Evening Friends! I rounded up some great Mother's Day gifts; as Mother's Day will be here before you know it! Some gifts I have already purchased for both my Mom and Sister. I'm very excited to share these gift ideas with you. There are a variety of price points as well.

First things first, ALL moms deserve a really cute nightgown. Especially one with that is pink and has magnolias all over it. The best part it is under $50! Next up are these beautiful botanical soy wax sets from Etsy. These are totally unique and your mama would definitely love them.
If your mom loves to cook, I included some great kitchen gadgets and accessories that'll make food prep a little bit easier. And what mom doesn't like an easy meal prep gadget?! This salad spinner was a game changer for me- No eating the lettuce leaves with a paper towel. Chop it up, wash it, throw it in, spin it around and there you have it freshly washed dry salad! Now for the coffee drinking mom, this copper French press is stunning ( I gifted one to my sister) and these mugs are a perfect gift as well to go with the French press.
To all of the candle loving Moms out there- I just discovered this scent and in love. I'm currently burning it down. It's a delicious blend of citrus and goji. Trust me, it's a good one.
My Mama loves to journal , specifically Bible journaling. These two are great options and have words of encouragement and gratitude and other uplifting quotes for a mom that may need a little bit of love and uplifting.

This sweatshirts is possibly my favorite of the bunch. Because its customized to your child birth month. So for my mom her sweatshirt  (also comes in a t-shirt) would be a daisy and a narcissus. I was born in December and My sister was born in April. You can even add grandchildren. How fun would that be if you were a mom of 10! You'd have a bouquetšŸŒø

Lastly, this beautiful Floral  embroidered dishcloth is absolutely STUNNING! I purchased this for my mom. It is so pretty that you'd want to frame it- it makes the perfect gift for all moms of all ages.

I hope that this gift guide was helpful. Stay tuned for Mother's Day outfits!

Thanks so much for stopping by.šŸ’œ

Loving Lately Part 6

Hi Friends! If you've been following for a while, you know that I share a series called "Loving Lately." It's an assortment of things that I've been loving lately; whether it be food, books, fashion, home decor,  etc. I love sharing because it may be something you'd like to try yourself. This time its pretty much food and candles- I love cooking and I love candles, so it's perfect!

So with the being said lets start with this tasty recipe and super easy side dish that I literally have been making for years now. Its Honey and curry roasted carrots. I'll link the recipe here saved from my Pinterest from food blogger Once upon a Chef.

This vegetarian Bolognese pasta dish is delicious! It was possibly one of my favorite vegetarian dishes I've ever made. I'm not vegetarian, but I do make and eat a lot of vegetarian meals because sometimes I'm just not in the mood to eat meat. I'll also link the recipe here from Half Baked Harvest.

Next on my Loving Lately list are candles- I love a good smelling house and I love the way candles make me feel at home. So serene and cozy. This scent from Yankee Candle is the perfect combo of fresh and fruity. Its called Sun-Drenched Apricot Rose. It is purely amazing!

A crowd favorite is the Capri Blue Volcano scent both men and women love this scent and its the perfect combo of citrus and tropicalšŸŠIt comes in a variety of sizes too.

Lastly, This new scent from bath and body works is this fresh and fruity smell called Mango Waters. I have been burning this constantly.

Christ and His Resurrection

Good morning! As someone who has been a Christian pretty much all of my life; Christ Resurrection means so much to me. It means when my body and life are gone from this temporal world; I have hope of rising again through because of Christ in the Eternal world.

So often as Christians we get caught up in the symbolism of Christ Resurrection and forget the TRUE meaning and TRUE story according to Scripture. Tonight our church will be partaking in the Lord's Supper (some call communion) with the bread that represents Christ body when he died and the grape juice which represents Christ blood. As we partake in this we remember all of the suffering that He willingly took on to pardon man from the curse of sin and death that started with two people long ago. And we all know who those two people are! I am forever Grateful that Christ took my place in death and rose again on the Third day, according to scripture, and that He lives forever more.

Now let's dive more into the Scripture and Truth about His Death and Resurrection.

Mark 15:33 And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. Jewish time starts around 6pm in the Evening vs American time starts at 12am. So from 12pm to 3pm there was darkness everywhere. Around the ninth hour Jewish time (3pm) Jesus cried and gave up His Spirit and diedšŸ˜¢ So from reading the Scripture He died somewhere in the late afternoon.

Christ himself spoke on how He would die and be in the grave three days and three nights- not a day in a half like is commonly reached. Three days and three nights. Scripture says in Matthew 12:40 KJV Jesus said: For as Jonas (Jonah) was three days and three in the whales belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Note* We all know that a full day is 24 hours- so mathematically speaking Friday night to Sunday morning is only a day in a half. So Christ said himself three days and three nights he would be in the grave. So we can see according to scripture that He died before Friday.

Let's dive more into the Scripture and Truth about His Resurrection.

According to all gospel accounts, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John; Christ had already risen when they arrived at the tomb when it was dark on the first day of the week (Sunday). Scripture says in John 20:1- KJV The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

Mary then runs to tell the other disciples that someone took Jesus away and the disciples come to see that the tomb is empty. So from this account we read that Christ rose while it was dark and that He did not rise with the sun on Sunday morning at dawn. This chapter always touches my heart of how close Jesus was with His disciples and the women that followed Him also. It makes me so anxious and excited that one day soon because He is risen and will be coming back; that I'll be able to see him face to face and be with him too.

I love digging deeper into the Scripture and learning more of God's Word and I also love to know why and what I believe. And for it to make sense and to be able to explain it. I hope that you enjoyed this devotional and that it touched your heart, remembering and reading all about Christ sacrifice for our lives.

Hugs, EboneešŸ’œ

My Favorite White Bedding

Hi Friends! My master bedroom is FAR from complete; as you may see I have nothing on the walls and barely anything else. But that is totally fine; younger me (6 months ago) would be worrying that every single room in my house is not complete. But older me (6 months later) is just enjoying my home as it is and also enjoying the renovation, decorating process, and pacing myself.

So with that being said, I recently bought my favorite bedding for my room from one of my favorite home brands. Pottery Barn! I bought their PB Essentials bedding, which is just a basic design. But is totally my favorite. The prices are good too and you're getting quality bedding. BTW- this post is not sponsored, although that'd be great! I just love this brand and my duvet is so perfect to me. I also, have this duvet in my guest room and I even had it at my old house. I also bought some super soft Tencel pillow cases from West Elm. Trust me, these pillowcases are like a cloud! I highly recommend them. I layered my upholstered platform bed with these beautiful white Euro pillow that have a nice texture. They are so beyond perfect!

The bougainvillea was a fun little find at TJMaxx, it was tucked away in a corner and I just had to have it. Its a pretty fuchsia color with slight purple tint. I'm usually not a fan of faux flowers, but these have a realistic look and are so pretty. I found a similar set here and here in case you are interested.

Now here's a tip for your duvet cover. I have a queen size bed; but for a fluffier duvet, (this one is perfect for light warmth) I bought a king size duvet. Also, buying a good quality duvet also helps with the fluffiness. I'll definitely be adding more pillows, because ya know! Stay tuned for more decor/design projects.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
