Beach sweater

Hi Friends! This past Friday I had the most beautiful early morning at the beach. I woke super early to watch the sunrise and to enjoy the beauty all around me. It wasn't blazing hot either; which allowed me to wear a very lightweight sweater and this flowy white gauze skirt. In my opinion, this is the perfect outfit for walking along the shore and picking sea shells, to which I did.

I know that it's the first day of August and we still have a few more weeks of summer; but I rounded up the best lightweight neutral sweater to wear during that transition period of summer and fall. 

Also, I have been living in this white gauzy skirt so much! It literally is a summer staple and actually can be worn into early fall, if you live in the south like I do. The best part is that it currently is on major sale- less than $50. I highly recommend sizing down, it runs roomy. I sized up thinking I needed to because of my hips, but I really should have taken my true size and sized down. 

It's well made and so flowy.

I've also rounded up a few other neutral sweaters that are great now and later.

Little black summertime dresses

Hello Friends! I hope that you are having a wonderful day thus far! It's a sunny and hot day here-but beautiful at the same time.

Speaking of sunny and hot, I know that black is typically not a summer color. But sometimes it's necessary and needed. And It is a classic. So I'm sharing some fun Summertime black dresses that are light and breezy and came be worn during various events.

 My dress is currently on major sale runs true to size; it has such beautiful details like eyelet at the hem. I styled mine more casually. It has the best twirl factor too!

However, it might be almost sold out so here is a similar option and its beautiful.

Summer Basics

 Hello and I hope that you are having a beautiful day thus far! I wanted to share with you some summer basics and actually, staples for year round. Only difference is summer time these basics are styled differently than in the cooler months.

First off, Chambray, I LOVE chambray, especially button downs.  And is my favorite! This top looks great with color skirts, layered over white dresses, or styled with denim-like I styled mine here. I love the casual denim look in the light and medium wash paired together. Here are a few option here and here.

White button downs are definitely a summer staple. They are classic and can be easy dressed up or down.

Abbey Glass classics

Happy July 5th! I hope that you all had a great 4th of July and celebrating our beautiful countries freedom.

I wanted to continue with the fresh colors of summer and talk about my favorite Abbey Glass pieces that I have mixed and paired with other pieces. Like this beautiful organza skirt paired with  their new linen pieces. This deep ocean green/blue tie top. It comes with a matching bottom but wanted to show how this cute top looked with their skirt and how you can easily style it a variety of ways. I paired it with heels and a hat for a classy look. 

I also styled this skirt earlier in the spring with a chambray top and cardigan for a more casual look.
 

One of my favorite things about styling outfits is getting creative with multiple ways of styling each piece.

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July- also known as Independence Day for our wonderful country! I'm beyond grateful to live here and to have most of my freedom. I'll always fight to maintain the freedom given to us by our Creator first and foremost and aid out by our Founding fathers. 

Today I spent it at church where I have the freedom to worship and with my mom and 2 year old nephew.

Mom and I took him back home and enjoyed a delicious lunch at a Laotian restaurant and it was quite tasty and then hopped over to our favorite Boba tea shop.

I was quite exhausted so after coming home, I took a lovely nap to refresh. I'm a firm believer in getting rest. I hope that everyone has had and are having a great 4th.

National Wear Your Lilly Day!

 

It’s NATIONAL WEAR YOUR LILLY DAY!!!! AKA the first day of summer, plus Father’s Day. So much to celebrate! I’m totally for celebrating wearing Lilly and making it a National holiday! 

I recently purchased this beautiful turtle printed dress in the most beautiful lilac, purple and turquoise colors. Purple is my favorite color and green is second and I love the two colors together. So this purchase was a no brainer for me. 

I styled it with my favorite Lilly cardigan in lilac verbena; there’s a different one online now. I’ll link it here and I’ll link my dress here too.I also have a more neutral cardigan option here. I had this same style of dress in another print so this style of dress is one of my favorites.

Preppy Summer Stripes

 Summer is here! It’s hot and sticky but it’s ok because we get to wear the prettiest dresses ever! Speaking of pretty dresses, I recently got this preppy colorful striped dress. It’s so lightweight and can be worn as a coverup or styled for a day out like I styled mine. It’s currently on major sale and comes in multiple colors and a pretty medium blue and white stripe. Soft and Neutral- Lilla P.

 Let’s start first by talking about how beautiful this outfit is! I mean really! This beautiful smocked ruffle top and skirt from Lilla P. is absolutely stunning 😍 the feminine touches, the class yet chic style and let’s not forget the lightweight material which we all need with Summer fast approaching. It’s actually already here in Florida. However, these pieces can be styled separately and with other pieces  I paired mine together for a more monochromatic look. Both pieces come in other colors and stay tuned for other ways that I’ll be styling these and mixing and matching them. The color I’m wearing is called cameo and it’s the perfect cream color. The skirt and top run true to size. You can dress it up or down- I styled mine more casually with these $15 gold sandals that are very comfortable by the way.
