Classy bow rain jacket

         In Florida, it rains quite a bit. So I'm always on the lookout for cute rain functional clothing. Insert this cute, longer length raincoat. I went to my local monogram shop with a bow monogram in mind and they created it in 24 hours. This raincoat has a bow charm on the sleeve and I love bows. It also has a drawstring that cinches at the waist for a feminine look. I wore mine with heels to church, but on casual days you can wear it with rainboots (which I'm hoping to invest in real soon.)

Paradise Purple

           Happy Weekend Friends! When Lilly Pulitzer released this Elsa top in this beautiful shade of purple, I knew that I had to buy it. This shade of purple is my favorite color, I am so happy that Lilly released clothing in purple. I hope that they continue this trend. I styled my new top with a cream colored skirt; which can be worn to work with heels like I'm wearing or flats for a more casual look. Closet Organizing

    Hi There! So with it being the new year, I decided to organize my closet- in a way that works for me.  As you may know 90 percent of my closet is Lilly, so its like a rainbow when you open my closet doors. Lol. So I wanted put my clothing in categories.  I put all of my maxi dresses and maxi skirts together.

I also put my outerwear: Puffer vest; rain jackets, lightweight jackets and heavy jackets towards the back because being from Florida, wearing a coat is few and far between- except for this winter its been quite cold. I keep my rain jackets closer because it rains a lot in the spring and summer. Right next to jackets are sweaters and my printed tops, Like Elsa tops. More casual tops are with my sleeveless printed tops. 

My Cardigan collection is ever growing. These eight are from Lilly. I have a few more that are not from Lilly not pictured. Thats how much I love Cardigans. I also have pretty decent scarf collection. Last but not least shoes- I keep most of mine in their boxes to protect them. I like to buy shoes that I can wear with a lot of outfits, but I do have some colorful and fun shoes too. You can also color coordinate your closet too. I might do that too, when I reorganize again. Color Blocking with Jewel tones

                  I LOOOOOVE wearing color! The more color the better to me. So I recently was looking through my closet and was trying to style some outfits. And I decided to do some color blocking. I had this magenta Elsa top for a few years and its so vibrant and one of my favorites- I took my new turquoise colored fringe cardigan that I bought during the APS Preview sale and paired them together. They both have beautiful jewel tones which is perfect for winter time and I paired them with my new leopard Kate Spade slides and my black work skirt to ground all of the color and called it a day!

Let your light shine

        Hello Everyone! I recently seen a phrase that said " You will never influence the world by trying to be like it!"And that statement is so true.  If you are wanting to make a positive difference in the world- you can't blend in. The Bible also says something similar and more powerful because Jesus said it first! Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
      This verse inspires me because as I see the moral declining state of our society- I am more determined to shine and reflect Christ; not only through my words, but my actions. As a Christian I'm determined to not blend in with society and go along with whats trendy & accepted, but to present my self as Christ would. And to promote what is right and  NOT what we feel. We all have feelings but that doesn't mean its always right.

Part of my 2018 focus for myself is to shine brightly and to not blend in; To maintain my morals and class; and glorify my Heavenly Father. I hope that this devotional was helpful & inspiring. Blessings!

Maxi Moment

    you knowhow some people have a signature look? Well, mine are maxis- I just love Maxis! They fit me better and they compliment my build. During the Lilly APS I wanted to buy all of the maxis, but restrained myself and bought this one that I missed last sale. The texture is almost like a scrunched seersucker fabric- so light and flowy. Perfect for warmer days which we actually had these last 2 days. I paired it with an older white cardigan from Lilly that I bought a few APS ago- for the cooler evenings.

Winter Brights

       Hi There! During this recent Lilly Pulitzer APS, I bought the last Silk Florida Pippa scarf in store & My it sure is pretty!!!! For this post I styled it as a bag accessory, a neck tie and a wrist tie. I plan on doing some fun print mixing ( Be on the look out for a picture on my insta!) The colors are so vibrant and. the print reflects my home state so perfectly. I'm debating on framing it as art. What are your thoughts?

This scarf is also a perfect way to accessorize in bright colors in the winter time. When all of the trees and flowers are frozen over- I love sprinkling the world with color year round. Thats what I love about Lilly- you can wear bright happy colors all year.

This scarf would add so much character to a classic Navy top as well, if you work in a more color conservative atmosphere.

Cashmere & Cold Weather

         Brrrr.... the last few days in Florida has been extremely cold- the coldest winter we've had in a really long time- Today it barely got above 5o degrees. So I've been living in sweaters and wearing beanie hats to stay warm. I recently picked up this adorable cashmere sweater from Lilly Pulitzer. It was on sale for the Lilly Pulitzer winter After Party Sale that just ended. I picked this up in store; it is so soft and warm. I've been wearing this on repeat since I bought it Tuesday.

I wore it Wednesday to Bible and layered it with a fuzzy ivory monogrammed vest for a put together look.

I love the details: sequins, jewels and fringe trim.

 I even wore it at my moms while I did some Lilly APS shopping. lol. See, I told you that I love this sweater and have been wearing it alot.

Chilly Beach Day

         There some days when you just want to go to the beach- not to get in because its too cool out, but just to relax and enjoy this beautiful world we live in. Well, insert a cute popover from Lilly; your beach towel; a good book; maybe a printed scarf; and call it a cute chilly beach day outfit.

I recently bought this pretty blue popover from Lilly Pulitzer for those chilly days. I love this style and want more colors on this style. And the scarf is an older scarf from Lilly in a classic and well loved print called First Impressions.

I hope that everyone is having a great winter no matter that state you live in.

Girls trip in Naples

       Hi There! I hope that 2018 has been great so far! On our Naples Mom & Daughters trip, we had to have brunch at  our favorite restaurant in Naples.- Jane's Cafe on 3rd- It has a fun British- American vibe. The food is so delicious, I highly recommend it if you're in the area. Its located in the historic Old Naples area in a pretty coral colored building.

They have the most amazing drinks. I like to get the freshly squeezed strawberry orange juice- because you know strawberries are my favorite. My mom and sister tried their raspberry pear lemonade with the fresh fruits mixed in. Not only did they say it was delicious but it looked pretty too.

They also have vegetarian options as well, last time I had the avocado toasted and fresh fruit. Delish!!! The weather was so perfect-we sat outside in the courtyard and the staff is so friendly. I can't wait to back. 

Naples Style

         Happy 2018 from Naples! Mom, Sister and I take our annual girls trip to our favorite place here in Florida every year, its become something we look forward to. We explored our favorite little spots and went to new ones. We also ate at a nice restaurant for New Years Eve where you can dress up and look pretty. I recently bought this new Maxi dress from Lilly earlier this week while I was in Georgia, specifically for this trip. It has been a little cool here in Florida for the last couple days, so I paired this maxi with my favorite thick Kate Spade cardigan with buttons down the back and my Ann Taylor nude heels.

We ended the night with hot drinks;  vanilla latte for me, white mocha latte for my little sister and chamomile tea for mama. And fireworks on the beach. We also made friends with a sweet older couple from Minnesota, We love it here. I have more Naples blogposts coming your way. Stay tuned!!!
